I like velociraptor dinosaurs and they lived 71 to 75 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. They are considered the most intelligent dinosaur. We have got lots of books about dinosaurs some story books and a fact book. We went to a dinosaur display in Devon last year and I enjoyed it. The dinosaurs in the pictures are Triceratops, T Rex, Teradactyl, Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus.

The dinosaurs shown above are a Triceratops, Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurs Rex, Apatosaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus and the dinosaur known as Diplodocus.
My favourite dinosaur is the Triceratops, I always remember the name because he has three horns and tri means three, he looked pretty fierce but he actually was a plant eater, he mainly used his horns to scare off hungry meat eating dinosaur but he could use them in a fight if he needed too.

I can see a pterodactyl, stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Allosaurus…
The dinosaur with the longest name was Micropachycephalosaurus meaning “tiny thick-headed lizard”.
I have read a book called Dinosaurs Love Underpants! It is a fiction book about how dinosaurs became extinct after the “great pants war”!

My favourite dinosaur is Pterodactyl. It is one of the most well-known flying dinosaurs and the word Pterodactyl means “Winged Finger”. They roamed the Earth about 145 million years ago. They flew through the sky hunting near rivers or lakes so they could eat fish, insects, and other small animals such as lizards. Some would even eat dead animals if another option wasn’t available. They lived mostly in what we now call Germany, France, England, Africa and Tanzania.

The dinosaurs in the pictures are Pteranodon, Allosaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. My favourite dinosaur is a Megaraptor, which means ‘giant thief’, and I think it was ‘epic’. It walked on two legs, and was one of the fastest runners. Some of them may have had feathers on their heads. It also had a big head with lots of sharp teeth and really big claws. It was about 8 metres long, and like other raptors, it was a meat eater. It would have been terrifying!

The dinosaurs I can see in the blog are T. rex, pterodactyl, apatosaurus, triceratops, stegosaurus.
My favourite dinosaur is the pterodactyl which means winged lizard. It’s wings were 40 foot long! They lived in caves and trees and near the sea, and ate large insects.
I have got a book called dinosaurs love underpants (like Amy’s book) which is a really funny story).

We found out about the stegosaurus. Although it looked fierce it was actually a slow and heavy dinosaur so it couldn’t get very far very quickly. It only ate plants and used its spiky tail to defend itself if it was attacked. Although the stegosaurus weighed as much as a really big car, it only had a little brain the size of a golf ball so he wasn’t the cleverest dinosaur!! Daddy has told Alex a story about how an asteroid may have hit earth and that is what caused dinosaurs to become extinct, we have also read a funny story called ‘Dinosaurs love underpants’.

  8. Adam Hoadley says:

Adam loves dinosaurs and loved the secret dinosaur book. Last week Adam saw the skeleton of a T-Rex at the Manchester museum and it was huge. Adam read that the T-Rex was a carnivore so ate meat and kept its balance with his tail as it stood on two feet. The full name tyrannosaurus Rex means Tyrant Lizard and they could run up to 20mph.

  9. Isla says:

I went to the science museum in London in Half Term and saw lots of dinasaur skeletons. We saw the T-Rex which was massive and the triceratops. It’s strange thinking these massive beasts used to walk around the places on earth we walk now. I would be a bit scared if I saw a dinasaur out of my bedroom window!

  10. Lotte says:

Did you know a triceratops has 800 small teeth? He’s a plant eater. Triceratops means “three-horned face”
