In foundation we think it’s a really good idea to have a ‘Big Pedal’ week because we can make sure that we have lots of extra exercise, and we can get more energy by going outside and coming to school in the fresh air!
Year 1 are really excited about the ‘Big Pedal’ and are keen to do their very best. They think that coming to and from school on your bike or scooter is good fun, helps to keep you fit and healthy and gives you energy for the day ahead. Fresh air wakes us up and will enable us to concentrate and do our best during the day. Having lots of exercise will also help us to sleep well too!
We think the big pedal is a good idea because it will encourage children to ride their bikes and scooters to and from school which will get them fit and healthy. They made decided to continue to do this when the week is over. It is also helping the environment because less people will be driving to school and this could help to save families a lot of money.
