The great fire of London started on a Sunday from a bakery in Pudding Lane and then it spread to the whole city. If I was an eye witness, I would have been very frightened and I would stick together with my family so that we can find a safe place to go to. If I was in that situation, I would probably save my favourite toys “shopkins” from the fire (: I enjoyed magic grandad.

The great fire of London started suddenly in Pudding Lane in 1666. The fire spread quickly because the buildings were made of wood and straw. We know lots about the fire because a man called Samuel Pepys wrote about in his diary.
If I was there I would be very frightened and be to scared to write anything in my diary!
The one thing I would save in the fire would be my baby doll Phoebe.

The great fire of London started on a Sunday, it started in a bakery and spreaded quickly as the houses were close together and made of wood. Many people lost their homes and busineses.
I would save my pet lizard from the fire.

  6. Sophie Allberry says:

I think Samuel Pepys wrote a diary because he wanted everyone to know about the Great Fire of London. If I had seen the Great Fire of London I would have felt very scared as it would have looked very frightening. I would have buried one hundred of my toys to keep them safe! The Great Fire of London was bad and it started at the bakery because they didn’t check the oven for long enough.

  7. Nathan says:

The fire spread quickly because the wind was blowing it into the houses. The houses were close together and made of wood so that made the fire spread more. I haven’t got a grandad but if I did he might be able to take me back in time to the Great Fire of London maybe! I would be quite scared if I was there and I would save my football.

  8. Euan says:

The fire lasted for four days and four nights. Water was used from the river thames. If I was an eye witness I would say that the fire is very hot and the flames very big. I think Pepys had a diary so people in the future would know what happened.
In a fire I would save my family and friends .

We’ve found out that the fire started in a bakery where a family lived. They went to bed and left the fire on and this is how the fire started. It spread over London and lasted 4 days. I also know that Samuel Pepys had a curly wig 🙂 I would want to save my cats but I wouldn’t bury them!! I would take them with me. I would want all my family to be saved and I would want to bury everything because all my things are special to me 🙂

If I was an eye witness I would have felt upset and I would describe the fire as dangerous and scary.

I would save my turtle figures and my football kit and go to a safe place with my family our dog Tilly.

Mummy and I have been watching Magic Grandad at home and learning about the Great Fire of London that happened in 1666 and burned for 4 days and 4 nights. I think Samuel Pepys kept a diary because he wanted to remember the fire.
If I had lived near the fire I would of been scared of the fire and run to another country!
I would save my toys if I had to bury things to keep them safe.
Looking forward to seeing you on Monday when I can go back to school!

  15. Aidan White says:

The great fire of London started in pudding lane on the 2nd of September 1666. The fire lasted for 4 days and nights, the wind helped the fire to spread so quickly and the houses were made of wood and too close together. I would save all my toys somewhere underground to save them from the fire. Samuel Pepys wrote a diary of the fire and he buried the cheese and wine because they were expensive and they were his favourites. The people were very frightened and ran as far away from the fire as they could. Some people filled buckets of water to help put out the fire. I would help to fill the buckets with water with my Dad. 87 churches were burnt down.

The Great Fire of London started in a bakery on Pudding Lane in 1666. The fire burnt down the houses very quickly because the wind blew the fire and the houses were made of wood. If I’d have been there I would have felt very scared and I would have tried to save my toys. I think Samuel Pepys made a diary because he wanted everyone to know exactly what happened.

  17. Ted Mitchell says:

I have learnt lots about the great fire of London at school. If I was there I would have tried to help put the fire out instead of writing in my diary. I would have saved my teddies and my mommy.

  18. Ella says:

The fire was in Pudding Lane and lasted 4 days and 4 nights. Samuel Pepys kept a diary and recorded the events so even now we can read what happened. There were no firemen so they had to use buckets of water to try to put put the fire.
