Leaves fall down in Autumn time,
Its time to find that broom of mine,
Piles of leaves, red, yellow and brown,
All in my garden covering the ground,
I sweep them up in nice tidy mounds,
Then watch as wind blows them around,
But this year I think I will leave them be
And enjoy my leafy carpet for all to see. 🙂
Year 1 learnt an Autumn poem. Here it is for you to enjoy.
October leaves are lovely
They rustle when I run.
Sometimes I make a heap
And jump in them for fun.
We have an Autumn blog in Year 1 this week and we are going to look for the signs of Autumn on our way to school!
Year 6 have chatted about what they could include in their poems. They are going home tonight to think of some ideas and write them up on the blog using the rhyming words we have thought of.
In autumn there are leaves
and rustiling from the trees
you start to feel a cool breeze
and you in bed start to freeze
you start to wear t-shirts with long sleeves
you could get a cold and you might sneeze
I can see the flowers that grow all around
I can see the sprouts growing up to the sky
The food are getting cropped by the farmers
The sun shines upon us all
The rain drops down on the food to make it grow
The trees are swaying in the sky
Storing food for winter
Leafs are falling down
all sorts of colours
the sun is going down earlier
Getting much colder and darker
Getting extremely close to winter
Green Autumn leaves
Fall of the trees
I play in them with my friends
Summertime ends
There is such a big breeze and people start to sneeze
Autum is beautiful with all those crispy leaves
So come and share the cheer
Autumn time is here.
Autumn is here we can all cheer playing in the leaves
While the last leaf is falling of the tree
Having so much fun in the sun
Cold breeze blowing on my face
While I’m tying up my shoe lace.
Autumn is my favourite season.
Why? I’ll give you a reason.
I love jumping into the leaves,
Racing and feeling the breeze.
Sometimes, I have long sleeves,
But when I don’t, I freeze!
Apples fall off trees
under trees reading books
time for jump in beautiful leaves
umbrella’s swinging around everywhere to have fun
meet your friends and chat and play with each other
nice days to pick leaves but it’s time to go to bed night!!!

I like autumn when the leafs turn brown & gold,
but it is getting to that time of year when I start to get cold.

Foundation thought of words that rhymed with ‘leaves’. We found out that leaves rhymes with trees, breeze, sneeze, freeze, sleeves and greens.

October leaves are beautiful many colours as they fall, hedgehogs hiding in the leaves curled up into a ball.
The leaves go brown, the leaves fall off, the sky goes dark and autumn is coming
We like autumn because the leaves from the trees change their colour and we jump into the leaf piles

I really like the words in your cool poem and the smiley face!
Year four have spent the afternoon creating Autumn poems, which we will put on display outside our classroom.
Autumn time is good
We sit on the wood
Looking at the fire
Thinking of what is ahead
Cuddling my ted
That is our poem about Autumn!
sleeves on jackets,
its a cold breeze,
full of trees,
with no leaves,
summertime has to end
freinds always lend coats,
making goats warm.
October is nice
leaves are yellow
also on the floor
in Autumn.
Green Autumn leaves
Fall of the trees
I play in them with my friends

people collecting acorns
and squirrels getting ready to hibnate.
As the sun goes down,
The Autumn Leaves go brown,
We keep the windows closed,
and the Icy river doesn’t flow,
