Hey guys, remember you will get a really cool sticker if your grown ups respond to the blog. The Learning Page can be found at Pupils>Foundation>Learning Page. Have a really lovely half term and thank you!
Thank you for putting the pictures on the learning page. Ted enjoyed looking back at what he had done this year. We could not play some of the linked games like the jigsaw as they wont work on the mobile phone. Ted enjoys going on the games linked from the phonic section. He completed the cvc words and keyboard activities a while ago, he said it would be good if there were some new ones of those.
I think the Learning Page is really good, it helps us to understand and see what the children have been learning and doing at school. Tommy also enjoys doing the other activities on the page too. I think it is a very useful addtion to the website.
As parents we really love having a ‘window’ into the classroom. Immy has really enjoyed the activities on the learning page and especially likes being the same as her big sisters and doing homework on the computer!
The learning page is great it allows us to get an insight into what the children have been doing and it’s lovely to see photo’s of them doing all the different activities.
Recommendation: An email with a direct link to the learning page sent weekly, monthly or even at the end of every half term would make it really easy to access and remind/encourage me to visit the page.
We really enjoy looking at the learning page , Euan can show mummy and daddy what he’s been learning at school. Its been really useful to have pages which are regularly updated and encourages you to use the school website generally. We can also direct Gran and Grandad to have a look as well!
I really enjoyed going through each week on the learning page, showing my mum the photos of all the different things we have done. There were so many to go through! I also enjoyed using the iPad to do the activities, especially the keyboard activities and I will try to do a different one each week from now on. Mum thought it was a useful page too!
We think this is a really useful resource. It’s fun to be able to look together at what Red has been doing at school and to be able to contribute in this way too. It might sometimes to be useful to see what’s coming next in advance so we can plan trips or activities o support with a bit more notice.
We always love looking back at the pictures of what she’s been up to and Darcy always explains what’s happening…. in great detail….!! She’s done the cvc words and keyboard skills a couple of times, so maybe some new ones would be good. There is a really big choice of games / links in the phonics section which is fantastic and Darcy really enjoys doing them.
Its great to be able to read about what the children have been doing and see so many photos as well. Sometimes we only hear a little bit of what Khai has been learning from him, so the blog is a good way of getting more detail.
Joel and I have sat together and looked through the learning page, Joel really enjoyed talking about all the activities he’s been doing at school and it’s lovely to see all the pictures, not all the games are iPad friendly so we tend to use different learning app’s instead, I love the idea of the blog and the learning page though! (Even if sometimes the weeks fly by and I haven’t visited!!)
It’s a really useful way of Sophie sharing what she has done at school. It also allows us to support the learning she has done in the classroom. Seeing the pictures of Sophie working/playing with her friends is really nice for parents too!!
Thank you for a lovely insight into what our children are doing and learning. Glad he is learning more then ‘I don’t know’ ;). I do agree that it would be very helpful to have an email when something has been updated or needs looking at. We have such a busy life it would help with the extra prompting.
We love the learning page, easy to use and it’s great to see what the boys have been doing. The photos prompted them to tell me little stories about what they were doing and funny things their friends said or did. We haven’t done any of the activities yet but will definitely try them soon.
We really loved looking back at the year and having more insight into the children’s learning. In particular we liked seeing the photos and will definitely make more effort to look more regularly! Thanks for your efforts and good luck Miss Charman
It makes huge difference to have an insight into what happens in the classroom as Ross can never remember. The learning page prompts a conversation about what he did at school and also what his friends do and if he joins in. I have found we can explore and discuss different ways of engaging with the varied activities on offer. Alongside this Ross feels a sense of achievement when he sees how proud we are of the things he is doing.
