Tyler read Kipper’s story called Hisssssssssss! Haydn and I really enjoyed the story. Haydn then searched the house for patterns, he found dots, spots and lots of strips, he found arrows and number patterns, however we did not find sock thing!
Haydn is looking forward to more Kipper books at School.

  2. Lotte says:

We did find him!!! (and made picture but not sure how to upload it). Mummy’s sock had red and white stripes so we have him some eyes and a nose. We also found that our tablecloth had stripes and there are tiny stripes on lottes cooking apron. Even hot cross buns have got stripes!
We love kippers toybox in our house- a firm favourite!!all books by mick inkpen are so imaginative.

That is fantastic, well done! I am so glad you found Sock Thing, poor Kipper felt terribly sad when he lost his toy. I will ask about uploading your fabulous picture because it would be shame not to share it. Stripes are my favourite pattern, most of my socks have stripes on! How did you stick his nose and eyes on Lotte?

  3. Mili Kothari says:

We looked all over the house but we couldn’t find Kipper’s red and white stripy sock.

However, we did find a pair Mili’s blue and pink spotty socks, orange and white pyjamas and our stripy hallway carpet.

We also looked in my sister Anjali’s bedroon and there was no sock but we found a lilac spotty duvet cover.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Brilliant pattern finding Mili! I think Sock Thing may have turned up in one of your friends’ houses…Maybe we will find out more tomorrow 🙂 Which pattern did you like the most Mili , and why? I like to wear things with stripes on because I think they make me go faster! 🙂

  4. Jake says:

Jake really enjoyed searching round the house for patterns, he found lots of things with stripes: his t-shirt, socks, Zach’s bib, Daddy’s jumper, a zebra and on his police station.

Jake found spotty patterns on Zach’s toys, his Cars table and on his calendar that he made at school!

Other patterns Jake found were stars on a money box, flowers on the wallpaper and zig zags on a toy Furby.

Jake had great fun doing this weeks challenge.

  5. Harvey says:

Harvey and I searched the house, but unfortunately we could not find Sock Thing! However, we did find many different patterns whilst searching!…

Harvey’s curtains have blue and white stripes on them, so similar to Sock Thing, but just a different colour! We went into Amelia’s bedroom and found polka dots on her bedding. We went into our bedroom and Harvey pointed out that my dressing gown has polka hearts on it. Harvey also realised that his bear Rufus has straps which are red and white chequered.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Super searching, you do have lots of patterns in your house. What different things could you use to make a pattern Harvey?
