  1. Haydn says:

Tyler and I searched all around the house, and we had great fun doing it, we found the following objects that began with an ‘A’ aeroplane, atlas, armchair, animals, Auntie Sue, anorak, Animal (the muppet).

  2. Zachary says:

Zachary had a search through his toys with his daddy and found an alligator and an allosaurus. We have also been practicing letter sounds, looking out for everyday objects that begin with the letter ‘a’ and he is pleased that he has 2 letter a’s in his name and there are 3 in his mummy’s name, Amanda.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Well done, that really is super searching, what interesting animals you found. Which toy do you play with the most and what sound does it start with?

  3. Adam says:

Adams loves playing with lots of different toys and has a great imagination. He says his favourite toy at the moment is his Duplo because he loves to build lots of different things, like a North Pole. Yes he is still in Xmas mode. In our search for things that begin with A Adam eventually realised he could not keep putting an A in front of every thing saying A penguin and A ball. We then found an….
    Apple
    Alarm clock
    Animals
    Aliens
    April from the Turtles
    And an Art set

  4. Jake says:

Jake really enjoyed searching round the house for toys/objects beginning with the letter ‘a’ he found the following: arrow, anchor (on his pirate ship), aeroplane, ambulance, animals (in his farm) and alien (Ben 10 alien).

  5. Harvey Nuttall says:

At the moment Harvey’s favourite toy is Shredder(Ninja turtles!)Harvey had Shredder for Christmas. Harvey recognises that Shredder begins with a ‘S’ and that the sound is ‘sh’.

On our hunt around the house for toys beginning with ‘A’ we found an Action man, an Avengers jigsaw and a Avengers book/projector game that Harvey had for Christmas.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Brilliant searching, I love the Avengers! Can you spot the letter ‘a’ when you are reading books and when you are out and about?

  6. Lotte says:

Lotte and i tried our hardest in the supermarket to find items beginning with a. Whilst Apple was easy, there weren’t many everyday items beginning with a. We did see Aubergine and asparagus which lotte then wanted to buy.
At grandma’s, mummy’s old weebles always come out to play as well as lots of little snoopy’s.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Super looking Lotte! I love asparagus, we are going to try and grow some this year at our allotment. Why did you like the weebles Lotte?

  7. Ross says:

Mommy was poorly in bed last weekend so we had a chat about it whilst we were having a cuddle. We worked out that arm and ankle start with the letter ‘a’ and so too does acorn, aeroplane and ambulance. Ross loves to play with his Avengers and Hulk is his favourite. He also loves to play with Angry Birds mashers as they stick to the ceiling and the Angry birds game on the computer. When we are in the car we look for the letter ‘a’ on signs outside shops and on signposts.

  8. Ross Little says:

They did, some were capital letters and some were small letters. They were also different styles and shapes and colours!
