Tyler, mum and I went around Cheswick Green looking for different shapes, to take photos with my camera. I found lots of different shapes and I am looking forward to bringing my photos in tomorrow.

Harvey has enjoyed being a 2D shape detective! In Harvey’s bedroom he found a star shape, which is his lamp on his wall. Downstairs in the lounge he found quite a few shapes….a square photo frame, a rectangular stereo and he recognised that our chair is circular. In the kitchen, he also found that the shape of the washing machine door is circular.
Harvey spotted that all the doors in the house are rectangular.
Sophie enjoyed making a star which she will be bringing in later this week. She drew and cut out triangles to make the star shape and she decorated it with glue and glitter. Sophie also found lots of shapes at home: triangle (toy pizza slice), cube (big box of crisps), cuboid (scooter box), cylinder (inside of kitchen roll) and spheres (grapefruit and pomegranate). She has enjoyed looking for the shapes and singing twinkle, twinkle.

Super shape spotting Harvey. Can you make a picture using just 2D shapes?

Well done Sophie, you found both 2D and 3D shapes. We look forward to seeing your creation!
