    What are you looking forward to most this school year?
    Chloe – I am excited to move into Year 2
    Rosie – Writing
    Morwenna – Science

    How can you help everyone who is new to our school feel welcome?
    Reggie – be kind to them
    Matilda – show them where their table is
    Maddie – take care of them
    Esme – show them where things are
    Minnie – include them
    Annabelle – play with them

    How can we make our school the very best it can be for all, in all we do, all of the time?
    – be positive to people
    – help people and be friendly
    – help them if they get hurt

    Tell me about the things we could do to make our school even better
    – add more decorations
    – bring your dog into school
    – a class pet
    – play more football and sports
    – bring in toys to school

    Year 1 are looking forward to:
    – Drawing (Lemell)

    How can you help everyone who is new to our school feel welcome?

    -Remember to always be kind (Winnie)

    -Show them our classroom. (Ted)
    We have two new girls in year 1 who started school today and we have all been looking after them and making sure they are happy in our school.

    –Make sure we keep it very tidy. (Emily)

    The things we are looking forward to most this year are:
    -the school trips
    -the residential
    -learning about WW2
    -the school council
    -the sports competitions
    -studying Harry Potter in English
    -Heads and deputies and prefects
    -Shirt signing
    -Leavers play
    -Pizza and he bouncy castle on the last day

    We can make newcomers feel welcome by:
    -being kind
    -smiling
    -including them
    -starting conversations with them
    -being friendly
    -show them around
    -help them

    We can make our school best by:
    -being nice to each other
    -thinking of others
    -always showing respect
    -not littering
    -contributing to the school
    -looking after our school
    -being helpful
    -not talking over people
    -including everyone
    -comprising
    -sportsmanship

    We have a new friend in Year 4 so we’ve been thinking a lot about making her feel welcome.
