We talked about the food I have had for my birthday party, I had a special Avengers birthday cake, with my age on it. Mummy lit the candles and I blew them out. Tyler and I do this every year to celebrate turning a year older. I will bring a photo into School with me.
Birthday cakes are so special! I can remember my Mom making a princess castle cake for my birthday when I was 4. It had 4 turrets and it was covered in pink icing. We look forward to seeing your photo.
We talked about the special occasion this weekend where daddy did a big run. He ran 14 miles around Lake Coniston in Cumbria on Saturday. A lot of my family live in Cumbria and so we all went out for tea together on Saturday evening. We went to a restaurant for a curry. I ate poppadoms, rice and naan bread and I tried a bit of Baby Harry’s korma sauce. I was there with my Mummy, Daddy, brother Edward, Nana, Papa, Uncle Ron, Aunty Louise, Simon and my cousins Gabrielle, Victoria, Harrison and baby Harry.
We talked about our daily routine. When Nathan and I wake up we get in bed with mommy and daddy for cuddles. Then we get up and have a drink and watch some television. Next we have breakfast and afterwards we get dressed. I like to have my yoghurt next and then brush my teeth. If there’s enough time I play some skylanders before putting my shoes and coat on to walk to school. After school we walk home and I have my lunch, usually a ham sandwich, some crisps and fruit. I can then play for the afternoon which is normally with my Skylanders whilst my brother has a sleep. We have our tea, followed by our bath. Daddy comes home from work and we play and talk about school. I get to choose a story, sometimes two or three and then I brush my teeth. Then it’s bedtime and if I have been good I get to fall asleep in mommy and daddy’s bed. On special occasions I get to stay up later like when I go to a party or on holiday!
Now I’m four I eat vegetables which are healthy and make me grow big and strong. My favourite vegetable is carrot and my favourite fruit is apple.
We celebrate lots of special occasions like birthdays. We went to Haydn’s house to celebrate his birthday and I helped Tracy (Haydn’s mommy) hide the chocolate coins for one of the games. I like special occasions.
In the morning before school, Mummy, Daddy, Max and I all sit at the table and have a big bowl of porridge and talk about what we’re going to do that day. Normally after school we have lunch then Mummy and I do an activity while Max has a sleep. We like doing Lego or playdoh most at the moment and sometimes we do some cooking or craft. Daddy gets home from work after tea then he does a bath for us. Mummy and Daddy take it in turns to read our stories before bed.
We are looking forward to lots of celebrations in the next few weeks. It’s Daddies birthday the day after Halloween so we’re going to have a Halloween themed party with lots of friends and family. We’ll decorate the house with spiders webs and pumpkins and we’re going to eat hot dogs and drink special witches brew which is green!! We will play some party games and Daddy will have a birthday cake. The next week it’s Uncle Wes and cousin Freddie’s 7th birthday, so they will both have a party too. We’re also looking forward to celebrating bonfire night though I don’t like the really noisy fireworks, so we’re going to watch some quiet ones.
When I get up in the morning I go to my mummy and daddy’s room. I then have some milk and brush my teeth. My mummy then helps me to get dressed. We then put my ‘magic eye’ in and then go for breakfast. My mummy makes my sandwiches whilst I am eating breakfast.
I then walk to school with my sister Anjaliben.
In a few weeks we will all be celebrating Diwali – this is the festival of light. We make special food and celebrate with your family.
In the morning when I first wake up I have a drink of milk and a cuddle in bed with Mummy and Daddy and then go down stairs for breakfast. I love yoghurt and cereal. Mummy helps me to get dressed after I have washed my face and cleaned my teeth myself. I always watch Peppa Pig and when it finishes I know it is nearly time to leave for school. On the walk to school I talk to Mummy about what I might be doing that day. My Daddy is a Policeman and works shifts so sometimes I have to be quiet in the morning and let him sleep in. Sometimes he has a day off in the week which I find very exciting because he can walk me to and from school and he plays Power Rangers with me when I get home. I love eating lunch with Mummy and Daddy . I like to have ham sandwiches, tomato, cucumber and yellow peppers.
On the weekend I go for bike rides with Mummy and Daddy, walk our dog Halle and help Mummy to clean our rabbits out. We sometimes eat Chinese or Indian food on the weekend- I love rice and peas and always pinch some of Daddy’s naan bread. We love celebrating birthdays and always telephone and sing happy birthday. We meet up at Nannie and Popsie’s house and have lots of food and chocolate cake and sing again and take turns to blow out the candles. My Uncle Richard’s birthday is on November 5th which is bonfire night so we always go and watch a firework display and eat hotdogs!

Well done Zachary’s Daddy, 14 miles is a very long way – that definitely deserves a meal out with the family! What is your favourite food Zachary?
My favourite food is tuna pasta bake. Followed by a yoghurt if I’ve eaten all of my tea

I love fireworks, which ones do you like?
In Adam’s words-“I like the rockets because they go really high and then go bang and turn to glitter in the sky”.
What a beautiful description!
