I have learned about the life cycle of plants. It begins with a seed. Seeds need 4 things to grow : oxygen, water, sunlight and some warmth. The seed will begin to sprout, roots begin growing into the soil. This is called germination. The seedling pushes its way out of the soil to wards the sun light. The flower is the part of the plant needed for reproduction. Petals are usually bright colours to attract insects. The anther produces pollen. The pollen can be moved fr0m the stamen of one flower to the stigma of another flower, often by insects or bees or butterflies. Some times pollen sticks to their legs and bodies and they take it with them to other flowers. Seeds are also spread by the wind, by water or on animal fur. Birds eat seeds and they come out in their poo.
Well done boys for doing the plant life cycle work. I have tried to grow Lavendar in a container while I have been in lockdown. It had started to grow and then stopped so I think I might have to put it out in my garden. Maybe it is not getting enough sunlight in my house.
It was so fun doing today’s work one day we could do something like this again.
I am glad you had fun Ajay!

A super scientific explanation of what you have learned Alex!
