Year 1 think that they should eat lots of fruit and vegetables, exercise, drink water, get lots of good sleep, have fresh air and wash everyday to stay healthy.
Mohammed says he stays healthy by eating fruit and vegetables. Chandler stays healthy by exercising and does press ups with his Dad. Orla skips around the park. Gwen does yoga. Holly says she goes to bed early to rest her body so she is not grumpy the next day! Eva said she has a shower everyday. Alfie said he drinks lots of water.
Ava said she is going to try some different fruits and vegetables. Dylan said he is going to do some more exercising.
We played a game in year 1 and had to choose where to stand when some statements were read out. We chose eating too much chocolate, drinking fizzy drinks and staying up late as unhealthy choices. We chose exercising, eating fruit and vegetables and washing our hands after the toilet and before eating food as healthy choices.
We even learnt a song about keeping healthy!
To keey healthy we need to:
– exercise frequently
– eat healthy foods frequently
– sleep well
– wash your hands properly and stay hygenic
– drink a lot of water
– positive attitude
– kind to ourselves
– clean our teeth properly every morning and night
– have a balanced diet
– have treats but not all the time
– relaxation
Year 3 this afternoon ‘made’ a meal and drew it on our plate! We talked about the different food groups and why we need different foods to stay healthy.
The other things we talked about are; sleeping the right amount of time (Oscar), relaxing and spending time with people we love, dancing is fun and also good exercise (Danny), Haris says washing his hands is super important and washing your hands properly, drinking lots of water keeps our bodies working properly says Sophie, having a good attitude will keep our minds healthy says Leah, Lee says lots of exercise in different ways and then washing your hands carefully will stop the spread of sickness, disease and germs. Maisie says we should be moving for an HOUR a day! Amelia says playing with her dog is fun and healthy and her dog Phoebe has fun too!
