  1. DSmith says:

From left to right is Teresa May the next one is Jeremy Corbin, Simon Danczuk, Finally Tim Farron.
    Im not entirely sure.

  2. Year 6 says:

    ENVIRONMENT
An environment is the surroundings a person, animal or plant lives in.

We want the environment we live in to be:
    -Clean
    -Nice
    -Green
    -Warm

    Types of renewable energy are:
    -Hydro power
    -Wind turbines
    -Solar power

    GENERAL ELECTION

We found out who the leaders were and what their key promises were. We then discussed who we would vote for and why.
The first leader in the pictures are: Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn, Paul Nuttall and Tim Farron.

  3. Year 1 says:

Year 1 said that the environment is where we live and what we see all around us. They all agreed that they wanted to live in an environment that was clean and free from litter, safe, green and looked lovely with flowers and trees.
We talked about sources of renewable energy and Mrs Rooke told us all about her solar panels on her house roof and how they work. She said she likes to be green and save money too. Ellis said he had seen some houses in Cheswick Green with solar panels on the roof. Year 1 enjoyed looking at the pictures of the hydro power and wind power. Some children had seen wind turbines when they have been travelling on the motorways.
All the children were able to tell me that Theresa May was our Prime Minister and that there is an important election going to take place tomorrow. They know that their Mums and Dads will be voting tomorrow to decide who will rule our country. They also said they had seen Jeremy Corbyn on the television. We chatted about the other parties too and the fact that each party has different opinions and ways that they would choose to govern the country.

  4. Year 4 says:

In Year 4 we discussed what ‘Earth laughs in flowers’ might mean. Georgia suggested that the earth is a happier place when it is full of flowers in the Spring and Summer months. Daisy pointed out that it is a good example of personification.

An environment is the surroundings that a person, animal or plant lives in. We all want the environment that we live in to be a happy, clean, tidy, safe and child friendly place.

The types of renewable energy that we found out about were:
    -Solar power
    -Wind turbines
    -Hydro power

Year 4 recognised Theresa May as our Prime Minister and Jeremy Corbyn as the Labour leader. After learning about the dangers of ‘fracking’, the children were happy to find out that Jeremy Corbyn plans to ban it. We enjoyed sharing opinions and having our say about the election that is happening tomorrow.

  5. Year 2 says:

Year 2 enjoyed our discussion on the environment and the General Election. They thought the environment
is where we all live and that they would like it to be clean, tidy and with lots plants and animals. To keep it like this we need to pick up litter, recycle, re use and use things correctly.
We discussed renewable energy and Mili said she had seen sun- catchers around Cheswick Green and Ross knew about wind turbines. We talked about fracking which led us into a discussion on the General Election. Most of the children had heard of Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn but Zachary informed us that although the Conservative party were in the lead, they had not got enough to lead the country.

  6. Class3 says:

Year 3 talked about the environment around their school and their home. They discussed what they could see around them and talked to each other about the favourite places in Cheswick Green. Some children don’t live in Cheswick Green but talked about their favourite place.
We talked about solar panels and Red said that he had solar panels on his roof and that he had a special machine that showed if his solar panels had made enough electricity for the day.
Kai and Ted mentioned a friend’s car that had a solar panel on it which made it move. The children also talked about solar lights in their garden that light up at night.

We watched Newsround today and found out about the results of the elections on Thursday. We found out what a hung parliament was. It was very confusing!

  7. Foundation says:

The children thought the phrase ‘the earth laughs in flowers’ sounded a bit funny! We talked about all the different colours, shapes and sizes of flowers and we decided that flowers were interesting and made us feel happy. We then talked about things that make us laugh and we thought carefully about about the phrase again. The children have loved helping Mrs Leitch plant the herbs and plants in our outdoor area and we agreed that we needed to look after them as it made us happy.
