    Samuel Pepys saved his cheese because it was important to him. I would save my family and my dog. The fire spread very quickly because the houses were so close together and made of wood which burns easily. I would have felt worried and scared.

    Georgia says that this week we have been learning about the Great Fire of London and how it spread from house to house burning everything down.

    Samuel Pepys kept a diary to write down his thoughts.

    In the event of a fire Georgia would want to bury all her Paw Patrol toys to keep them safe from the fire

    I have found out he wrote a diary, including about the Great Fire of London, he wore a wig and buried his wine and cheese.

    In the same situation, I would bury lots of ice lollies. Mommy thinks the cheese and wine would be a better idea!

    The fire of London started in a Bakery in Puddings Lane, by a sparkler jumped out of the oven. The fire spread quickly because the houses where too close together and made of wood.

    I’d save my family if I was in the fire.

    Samuel Pepys kept a diary because he wanted to write about London. He saved his cheese and wine because they were precious to him. I would save my family and pet fish and then my toys and teddies, I would be really scared!

    Oliver would hide his Mummy and save all his toys! Samuel Pepys wrote his diary so that everyone would know what happened and also so he can be famous!
    Oliver would describe the fire as follows: The fire started in Pudding Lane and in the bakery. It got very big and was then called the Great Fire of London. It burned down lots of buildings. It was very hot and bright and the flames were orange in colour. It would have been very scary.

    Jacob said he would have been scared and sad to see everything burning down. Jacob would save his teddies and toys, he always wanted to save his bed but we agreed it would have to be a really big hole! Jacob has enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London!

    If I saw the Great Fire of London I would be really scared because the fire spread easily because the wind helped it. Only 6 people died in the fire all the rest escaped and they had to sleep in little tents.
    If I was there I would save my whole family, Barbie and ice cream!
    I think Samuel wrote a diary because he wanted everyone to know exactly what happened years ago.

    Freya has enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London. She would save her cuddly bedtime bunnies, and her mummy. (Phew !! ;-)) Freya also said if she had some she would save chocolate cake!

    I have found out that their was no fire brigades so they had to fetch water from the river Thames to try and put out the fire.
    Samuel Pepys wrote a diary and kept it safe, he used a feather and ink to write his diary in 1666. If I had been there I would have been frightened and scared, I would want to save my precious things and then I my mommy and daddy from the fire.

    The Great Fire of London started in a bakery because the baker left the oven on at night.
    The fire lasted for four days, because the houses were so close together and made from wood the fire went from one house to another, it was also windy which helped spread the fire quickly.
    Samuel Pepys saved his cheese and wine by burying it.
    If we had a fire then I would save my family and as many of my toys as I could!

    Jack said he would have saved his mum and dad, but would have been very scared if he had of been there. Jack has enjoyed learning about the great fire of London and told his mum all about it. Jack is glad that his house is not made of wood!!
