  1. Year 6 says:

In year 6 we discussed the Autism workshop an what we had learnt about Autism.
    Year 6 now know:
    – There are different types of Autism and some are more severe than others.
-Some children with Autism like to be with others but others don’t.
-They sometimes only focus on one thing for example in a film or in a picture.
-Children with Autism often hear things louder than we do and may be sensitive to some things
-Sometimes they struggle to focus or concentrate in a conversation and it can hurt them to look people in the eyes.
-They find it hard to understand how other people feel.
-They can take things literally and can find it hard to understand jokes.

  2. Class3 says:

We learnt that all children are different and that children with Autism can be more sensitive to noises. Noises can seem to be louder and can find it hard to concentrate in class. we are all part of a team and we must work together and accept our differences.
