Phoebe read Little Red Riding Hood and enjoyed it very much. Her favourite part was when the wolf showed his big teeth! To stay safe she thought Red Riding Hood should not talk to strangers and not walk alone in the forest.
Maisie Said her mommy should have gone with Little Red Riding Hood to keep her safe. She also said, she could have avoided the forest and gone a different way to Grandma’s house. She shouldn’t speak to any strangers.
Dylan said that Little Red Riding Hood should have given the wolf some vegetables!! We had a rethink and he agreed she shouldn’t have spoken to the wolf or strayed from the path.
We have read the story a few times and role-played which he really enjoyed – especially chasing the wolf away at the end. We learnt that Little Red Riding Hood should have listened to her mummy and not speak to the wolf because he was a stranger. And that the wolf was tricking Little Red Riding Hood. We’ve taken a photo of our role play.
William said that Little Red Riding Hood should have asked her Mummy and Daddy to go with her! He also said that the wolf looked like a case when the Daddy chopped him open – and Little Red Riding Hood and Granny were still alive which is “so crazy!”

They said she should have listened to instructions she was given so to have not gone wandering from the road.

We watched the story of Little Red Riding Hood, and spoke about the key points to the story.
Hattie said that Little red riding hood wouldn’t have become lost if she had stayed on the path instead of going to pick flowers in the wood, she said that she shouldn’t have talked to the wolf as he was a stranger.
