    Medusa was a lady with snakes for hair , she would turn people to stone if they looked her the eyes. She was known as a gorgon.

    In Greek mythology Medusa was a monster, a Gorgon, which was described as a winged human female with a hideous face and living venomous snakes for hair. Gazers upon her face would turn to stone
