Tonight Lily and Oliver had a red hunt at Oliver’s house! Lily and Oliver managed to make a huge pile in the lounge of a variety of red objects including cars, Lego and letter cards. Between them they told us all about the objects and then began sounding out letters! On the way home from Oliver’s me and Lily played spot the red object, Lily was very good, she spotted flowers, post boxes and signs! I must say she was a lot faster than me 🙂 we will keep spotting over the weekend.

Oliver spotted red pictures on the flash cards which was an apple, fire engine and yo-yo. Oliver really enjoyed playing this game and kept finding red objects while playing with his trains

We thought this was a really funny challenge because my brother is called Red! He has lots of red things. He has red sheets and red curtains. He also has red on his shoes. I have got some new boots. They are dark red. My boots have a shiny bit and a rougher bit (suade). Mummy has got some red yarn and Red has got a red t-shirt and a red lamp. We also spotted some red on the cereal packet that we have made into a toy for our kitten, Twig. There are lots of red things in our house!

Riley went on a hunt around the house with his little brother Reuben for red objects, he found toys, painting mats, lego, box’s, strawberries and more. We talked about the objects and what they were made from and what they were for.
Toby has been on a hunt for red objects around the house, he was very good and spotted lots of things. First he spotted a baby bel wrapper which is used to protect the cheese, then he found a red flower in the door of the hallway for decoration, next there was a red light on the plug to let you know when it’s on. Toby spotted a red coat in the picture of his cousin Annie, she was wearing it in the snow to keep warm. Outside he saw a red frame on his Spider-Man bike to match Spider-Man’s costume. Then upstairs in his bedroom there was red in his paw patrol counting poster, it was the number 9 and Ryder’s bike and finally his mushroom money box has a red top, which he uses to save up all his money. And then he also spotted that his daddy’s trousers were red! Toby is looking forward to talking about all the red things he found!

Jenson spent most of the day in the garden trying to throw objects into the pond on his red chair! He helped to move nanny’s car and found a bottle of red nail varnish. Jenson enjoys throwing balls and found a round red ball which he normally uses when playing skittles with Imogen. An eventful weekend as Saturday he spent most of his day with his friends celebrating Thomas’s 4th Birthday on a red bouncy castle and encouraging Imogen down the red slide.
Imogen took her pen and notepad and looked around the house to see what red objects she could find. Imogen found quite a few red objects of various shapes, sizes and textures. She found the following;
– Daddy’s football shirt. (soft)
– glass candle holder (hard and shiny)
– Hello Kitty blanket (soft and cuddly)
– pen (hard and made of metal)
– little brothers play work bench (hard and plastic)
– red roof on toy house (hard and plastic)
– strawberries in the fridge (squishy and yummy)

A cuddly caterpillar which was soft
A red power ranger which is shiny
Max’s toothbrush which is prickly
Red scissors which are sharp
A paintbrush which is hard
Scarlett found lots of red things. She found a red balloon, raspberries, the top of a hot tap, an apple, the light on the tv box, red leggings and her rainbows t shirt.
Dylan first got the red striped cushions from the sofa (squishy), looked up at the red blinds (“ridgy”) and then moved on to his little red toy kitchen in the hallway (smooth). Dylan then noticed both his Spider-Man trainers and Mommy’s pumps were red but said his favourite red item in the house was his Iron Man Superhero figure!!
Res things Elliot has found:
Apples – for eating, they’re good for you because they’re fruit.
His new dressing gown – very, very soft to keep me nice and warm and cosy!
Fire extinguisher from play fireman kit – to put the fire out, it’s smooth.
His brother’s red pants – soft, this bit (waistband) is bumpy but when when you stretch its its not bumpy, it flattened those little bumps.
Post box money box – really smooth it’s for putting money in.
Red car – for getting to places it’s too far to walk to like CBeebies Land and Nannie and Grandad’s
Leaves – they’re crunchy like crisps
