Lee has asked what will happen at lunch time. With school dinners ect.
He is very happy to be staying with his friends.
From my point of view Lee seems a little confused he will be there all day. Thanks for the opportunity to express questions about the transition. 🙂

Hi Lee, at lunchtime we line up and go to the toilet and wash our hands. The teacher will then lead all the F2 children into the hall. If you are having a school dinner you will line up and when it is your turn you can choose your food from a selection, including a pudding. You then take your tray and you can have some salad from the salad bar, you then sit down at a table just for Foundation children. If you have a packed lunch from home you choose a seat at a Foundation table and begin eating straight away. If you need any help, there with be dinner supervisors who will help you if you put your hand up. When you have finished eating you are allowed to go outside, you will need to ask a dinner supervisor first. You then get to play outside until the bell goes at the end of lunchtime.

Alice had two questions to ask about yr 1. is yr1 going to be more challenging and do we get and our drawers? we talked about the changes that are going to happen and that Alice will have to listen to the instructions given. Alice is excited about going into yr1 and she said that it will be fun.

      Hi Alice
The work in year 1 will be challenging but lots of fun too. If you need help Mrs Rooke and I will be happy to help. Yes year 1 all have their own drawer to keep things safe! Have a great Summer and we look forward to welcoming you in September.

Sebastian would like to know if he will still be a Butterfly? He is also already getting worried about having to eat lunch at school as he is a very fussy eater and doesn’t want to eat mash!

    • Mrs Turner says:

Hi Sebastian, the family groups for next year are Tigers and Giraffes. You will find out which group you are in after a few days in F2. Mum, with Sebastian you can look at the menus on the the school website, if you click on the parents tab then the school meals option you will then see a picture of some food, when you click on this picture it will link to a menu plan. There is always a choice of food and you can chat about it each day so that Sebastian will have a good idea of what will be available. If he really doesn’t like the choices you can of course provide a healthy, nut free, packed lunch.
