On Monday, we listened to a story called the rainbow bird. The story was about a crocodile who kept some fire sticks. But he did not share these fire sticks; instead, he kept them to himself. The first animal to do something about this was plane bird. One day she tried to just snatch the fire sticks but the crocodile spotted her. But plane bird did not give up. Instead, she waited and watched for days and nights. One day she saw crocodile yawn. “This is my chance!”she thought. So very quickly she snatched the fire sticks and flew away with them. Crocodile knew that there was nothing he could do so he let plane bird take the fire sticks. Plane bird set fire in the heart of every tree and gave everyone some of the fire sticks. That is why some people say ” What do you use to make fire? And what are matches made out of? And where does wood come from? What is in the heart of a tree? And who put the fire there? PLANE BIRD!!!
