Olivia has heard a cricket before. Some questions she asked: What do they eat? She guessed slugs. How do the crickets make the noise? She guessed their wings (no help from Mum – I was expecting her to say mouth!). Livy thinks there might be different sizes or colours of crickets but she’s not sure. She’s looking forward to finding out!
Oliver remembers seeing a cricket in Spain last year in our villa and thinks it was “Aunty Zoe’s” pet!! He remembers that it comes out at night and is very noisy! Also, when we recently went to the Lunar Festival we tried some fried crickets to eat!! Oliver had a meal worm which tasted like rice crispies. The crickets were very crunchy! They are a good source of protein. But we won’t making a habit of eating them!

What super questions Olivia! I am looking forward to Foundation becoming cricket experts this week!
She thought of one last question… Why do the crickets live in grass?
Ava would like to know how Crickets make their noise and how they wake up?! She would also like to know where they live and how she can find one?!
