  1. Year 1 says:

Year 1 really enjoyed the story and poem in this morning’s assembly. They said that the story tells us to be generous and not to be selfish. They said that sometimes it is hard to share but when you do then that makes you feel good and makes the other person happy too.
Year 1 said they were very good at sharing and know that it is good to take turns. They said that their family share with them and their friends and teachers.

  2. Year 2 says:

In Year 2 this year we have found out that we are good at sharing. We all have our own pencil cases with special pens in them. These pens are glittery and make writing and colouring fun. Sometimes people don’t have gel pens because they are expensive so we like to share. Usually we put the pens in the middle of the table and everyone who sits there can borrow them. It’s hard to share though sometimes because people don’t look after the pens and they get used up and lost. Even though its nice to share sometimes it’s still nice to keep things personal and to yourself.
Thank you Rev Vicky for assembly this morning.

  3. Year 4 says:

Rev Vicki chose a child from year 5. Then she split the banana and gave him the banana skin and she kept the inside bit for herlself because she wanted the best bit.

We think it wasn’t fair because she was being selfish and was having the best bit as you can’t eat the skin.

We learnt that it is important to share with everyone. We also learnt that you should think and care about others not just about yourself.

  4. Year 6 says:

In an assembly about sharing, Rev Vicki shared a banana by keeping the middle section and then giving the skin to a child!

It wasn’t fair because she gave the bit she didn’t want herself.

We learned that you should not be selfish towards other people and that you should share half and half.

  5. Year 3 says:

We talked about the importance of sharing and the important message within the story. We felt that not sharing things properly can be quite selfish. People who share have lots of friends because they are very kind. We talked about how good we are at sharing and the people who share with us.
Poppy L – my sister does share because she shared the mint leaves from the garden this morning.
Georgia P- my cousin is really good at sharing. She gives me gifts when I see her and she draws pictures for me.
Phoebe – my mum shares lots of treats.
Holly – Lots of sweets were shared at Poppy’s sleepover.
Millie – It’s good to split sweets when we are arguing over them.
Charlie – the other day Jacob bought me some sweets.
Jacob S – At the safari park, we bought a blow up sword each but mine burst. My sister gave me hers which was really kind.

The message is that you should always share because you will never have any friends or get anything from anyone if you don’t give them anything in return. I am good at sharing and I share with lots of people like my friends and family.

    I share with…
    -my friends
    -my family
    -my pets
    -my toys
    -next door neighbours

People who share with me are…
    -my friends
    -my family
    -shop keepers
    -next door neighbours

I think you should tell your friend what you don’t like then they could give the one what that you do like. Don’t give the ones that they don’t like, give the ones what they do like. Because if you have already asked what they don’t like then you will know what they do like and you will give the ones they do like.

Sam said that the girl only gave the boy the banana skin and it wasn’t fair! We don’t eat banana skins 🙁
Archie said giving somebody else half of the banana would be fair.

    Super thinking boys!
