  1. Year 1 says:

Year 1 said the message in this story is, ‘Don’t think you are the best at everything. Everyone has different talents and we all must work together as a team to reach our goal.’
The children decided that if they all worked well together and co-operated as a team then they wouldn’t make the same mistake as the tools!

  2. Year 4 says:

The important message in this story was that if you work together you are more successful than if you work alone. Another message was that we are all as important as each other.

To make sure that we do not make the same mistake as the tools did we can:
    – not brag about the things we are good at as it could upset others.
    – make sure we work with others.
    – encourage others to help us and compliment them on what they are good at.
    – not say we are better than others because we are all equal and we all have things that we are good and bad at.

  3. David says:

    Don’t show off.
    Everyone has a different talent.
    Teamwork!

  4. s14cpayne says:

In year 2 we made a list of all the things that would be difficult OR IMPOSSIBLE if we didn’t have teamwork!
To be better than the tools in the box we thought of things that make teamwork easier such as kindness, saying thank you and not being rude. Miss Payne said she has to work as part of a team too with all the other teachers, Mrs Norris works as part of a team with her husband and Mrs Valderrbano said she likes it when Ines and Sofia work together nicely.

  5. Foundation says:

Mr Saw thought he was better than the others, This was not true, the tools all did different jobs. They were better as a team. We know in Foundation that we all help each other to learn and be happy.

  6. luke says:
