  1. Haydn says:

The signs of winter Haydn found in our back garden are, our trees have no leaves, our winter flowering pansies are flowering, we leave food out for the birds, the garden is very muddy, and most mornings the ground is covered in Ice. The main thing he notices about Winter is the light, it gets very dark about 4:30 when he has just got back from school, he
likes the Summer when it stays light till late and he can play in the garden after school.

  2. Jake says:

Jake really enjoyed the walk, he enjoyed finding crab apples! Signs of winter in the back garden are no leaves on the trees, frost when it is really cold and we don’t have to mow the lawn in winter.

  3. Zachary says:

The thing I most enjoyed about the winter walk was looking at the sheep. They were really fluffy which will keep them warm in the winter. I also really liked walking in the mud! I can tell it’s winter because it’s really cold and the leaves have fallen off the trees. When we’re outside we can see our breath in the air. We also have to put the heating on at home and I can see steam in the back garden which comes from a pipe when our heating is on.

  4. Daniel Hillidge says:

Daniel enjoyed the winter walk, in particular when he went through the woods and did the different activities like blowing through the tube. He enjoyed finding the different parts of the wood.
In the garden we get puddles when it’s rained in the winter which makes it difficult to play football! We have to scrape the ice off the car in the morning when it’s been cold overnight.

  5. Aimee says:

The walk was really brilliant because we found a den where we had to lift up a bush and then we could walk in. The leaves have fallen the trees and the grass is damp and muddy. It is darker and rainy and sometimes the car is icy and very cold. We have to wear our winter coats, hats, gloves and scarfs to keep warm.

  6. Adam Hoadley says:

Adam said he enjoyed the walk especially putting his wellies on and going outside. He said looking at the twigs on the ground made him think of stick man. Signs of winter in our garden are trees with no leaves on, long grass and lots of mud because of the rain. Adam said our garden doesn’t have many colours, the sky is grey and the flowers are missing!

  7. Borys says:

The signs of winter I found in my garden are there are no leaves on the trees, it can be realy cold in the morning and there is frost on the car’s windscreen, the roads are slippery. During the winter walk I enjoyed looking at the trees.

  8. Isla says:

We know it’s winter as its so cold now! To make the house warm we put the radiators on. In the garden there are no flowers in winter like in summer. Mommy and Daddy don’t have to mow the lawn either (which is one of the few plus points of winter!) I can’t look in the garden at the moment as it is pitch black.

  9. Aaliyah says:

Aaliyah enjoyed going on the walk because it was like an adventure. We no it’s winter because the trees don’t have any leaves. The mornings are cold and sometimes there is frost on the grass. We can also see lots of smoke coming from people’s chimneys because people put the fire on to keep warm.
