Martin Luther King’s dream was his 4 children would live in a nation where they would not be judged by their skin colour but by the content of their character. I think it was a good dream. I don’t have any dreams for our world but I’m always thinking.
Martin Luther King’s dream was that every person should be treated the same. We think it was a good dream, and it’s difficult to imagine a world where this wasn’t the case.
We think a good dream to have now is for there to be peace and no fighting around the world.
Another good idea from our class was for there to be less pollution around the world and for us to take better care of our environment.
In year 5 we discussed a dream where we improved the treatment of people of disabilities in the UK. We also dream about caring about the environment.
To prove the point, we played a game called “blue eyes, brown eyes” where children with blue eyes were moved to the back of the classroom, not allowed to sit down and not allowed to share their opinions with the class. Children with brown eyes sat at the front and were able to take part in the discussion. Some of the blue eyed chidlren chose to rebel and refused to be told what to do! They stood up for their equal rights, taking inspiration from MLK and Rosa Parks!
We think this man’s dream was for everyone to be equal. We also think this was a good dream because we agree with Martin Luther King thjat everyone should be equal.
Some dreams we would like for our world:
-for there to be no more fighting or wars.
-less litering and pollution.
-no hunting.
-stop cutting down trees.
Year 1 said that Martin Luther King’s dream was for everyone to live happily together in our world.
Isla said she wanted no injuries and said that wars should not happen so everyone was safe.
Archie said that he wanted everyone to live together and get on well together.
Lotte said that we needed to keep animals safe and protected. Borys agreed that his dream was to save endangered animals.
Khai – Martin Luther was being kind to everyone and if I could make one thing better I would make everyone be happy and be friends.
Euan – You have to treat everyone with respect!
Ted – If I could fix our world I would stop the builders from making too many houses and getting rid of all the green fields and trees.
Saffy – It is important to remember that everyone is the same inside! We might look different but we are all HUMAN!
Year 3 mentioned that we are all equal and need to make sure we treat everyone with respect! It is so much more fun when we work together and help each other!
Martin Luther king was an inspirational man and he only wanted the best for his children his speech was all about racism and it should not exist in the world as several years ago white people would treat black people differently for instance they would make them use a different toilet or maybe sit in a different place on the bus and another inspirational woman was Rosa Parks

I’m not going to say I can’t do this i’d say I’m going to at least try whatever I dream about
Foundation decided it was a very good dream because it is important to be kind to everyone and for the rules to be fair.
