I enjoyed playing in the church with Mrs Brooks. There was a story about a baby. I haven’t been to a church before.
There was one big room. It smelt like biscuits inside. It was warm inside the church.

  2. Ross Little says:

I liked baby Jesus lying in the manger, he was very cute. When he grows up he will heal sick people. Jesus’ birthday is Christmas Day. I though the grown ups were very good at acting. They heard baby Jesus was going to be born. The angels told the shepherds and the wise men followed the star to the stable.

  3. Zachary says:

Zachary enjoyed hearing the story about the journey to the stable. He liked hearing about the inn keepers wife and said he didn’t realise she was so busy. Zachary was christened in a church when he was a baby. He said that the church had a few crosses in it, he saw Jesus on the cross and a font with water in it. When I asked him what type of water, he said ‘dirty water’! He couldn’t think of any new words he learned.

  4. Archie says:

Archie enjoyed the trip very much and said it was great that bs y Jesus was a real baby

  5. Ben Harris says:

I enjoyed looking in the Secret Room because the little lady was funny when she came out of the room. I learned about the smells of the gifts that the Wise Men brought to baby Jesus. I have been in a little chapel before when I went to Coughton Court with my family. It was cold inside.
Yesterday, the new word I learned was myrrh.
Another thing I liked was seeing my friend Reuben who goes to Blossomfield School.

  6. Haydn says:

I enjoyed the trip to St James’ Church, I couldn’t believe there was a real baby, the baby cried a lot! One of the Kings showed me the way to the toilet, I will always remember that.

  7. Isla says:

I learned about Mary and Joseph in the stable. I couldn’t believe the baby was real! I have been to church before for christenings and I’m looking forward to going at Christmas. We will say happy birthday to Jesus. I have just remembered I liked the bit where the lady came out of the door/cupboard.

  8. Adam Hoadley says:

Adam said he loved going to the church because he liked hearing the story and everything especially when the lady came out of the cupboard! Adam has been in a few churches including St Mary’s where he was christened . Adam said he felt safe in the church?

  9. Borys says:

I enjoyed the trip to St.James’ Church. I liked the little baby Jesus and his Mum-Mary. I learned that the baby Jesus was born on Christmas Day. I liked that there were lots of Angels and Donkeys in the windows. Cannot remember any new word.

  10. Aaliyah says:

The baby was very cute. The church was a nice building and it was warm inside. The church smelt like strawberries. I have been to church before and done arts and crafts there. I had fun at the church.

  11. Sophie Owen says:

I couldn’t believe that the pretend baby Jesus was a real baby. I liked looking around the church, it made me feel really christmassy.
