In the story William had worries about being late for school, about someone who was mean at school and that the work was too hard. He was also scared of the dark. His Aunt helped him by telling him what to do about his worries. Megan says she worries about a scary clown coming and stabbing her in her sleep so she tries to think about nice things instead. Toby says that he is worried about getting lost so he makes sure that he stays with his Mum and Dad. Jai said that worrying too much is bad for you and gives you high blood pressure.
Imogen said that the most important message in today’s assembly was to talk to the teacher or to tell somebody about your worries so they can try and help you to sort them out. Sophie said that William had told his Aunty about his worries and that she had tried to give him some advice. Year 1 said that William had followed the advice and things had improved and his worries went away.
The children agreed that when they were worried they would tell their teachers or their Mums and Dads.
In Year 5, we are a little bit worried about Year 6 with harder work and SATs, but we know we will help each other and our teachers will help us.
We are also worried that we are getting closer to secondary school. We are spending the day at Alderbrook tomorrow, which will help us to feel less worried about going in the future.

When I have a worry sometimes my teacher sorts it out because in yr2 we have a worry box.On the other ones its normally my mum dad or grandma.
