Year 3 shared all the things they would like to change about themselves and their family.
Eleanor said that she would like to live a more healthy lifestyle and to start this off she would not eat as much chocolate spread!
Lilley-Rose said she wanted to get on better with her brother, she said she would be kinder to him so that they don’t argue as much.
Ellia wanted to make sure the playground was always tidy so it was nice to play in.
Charlie wanted to wash the dishes at home rather than his parents so he said he would help more around the house to show he is sensible.
In Foundation this morning we spoke about the little things we could do or change which would be for the better. If we all do these little things they will all add up to big changes. Here are some of the changes we came up with:
“We could help to tidy up at home and and school.”- Ross
“I’m going to be really kind to all my friends”- Harvey
“We should all recycle”- Lotte
“The flowers outside all need looking after too”- Aimee
In Year 5, we spoke about the little things that we could do to make a big difference to our classroom and other people’s lives. We spoke about ensuring that we treat our classmates with respect, as this is a really simple thing to do, but makes everyone’s life in school happier. We also thought that we could improve the world directly around us by doing simple things like picking up our rubbish and helping our neighbours.
Year 1 talked about the little things they could do to make changes for the better. They had lots of lovely ideas and said they would try really hard to make sure that they made these changes as they felt everybody would benefit.
“I am going to keep my lego tidy in the lounge” Khai
” I am going to be kind to my friends all the time” Nathan
“I am going to make Mummy happy and keep my bedroon tidy” Euan
“I am going to be healthy and eat more fruit and do lots of exercise” Oliver
“I am going to make the dinner with Mummy” Jacob N
“I am going to help Mummy clean the house” Sofia
I would like to help children in poor countries to have clean water, so I decided to donate my pocket money for that cause. I hope this might make them happy. At home, I would like to help my Mummy more by tidying my room and looking after my little sister when she’s busy. At school, I would like to stop chatting while I do my work and try to concentrate on studying.
Year 2 talked about how we can make small changes to make life better, we have talked about how we can keep our classroom tidy, and look after our own things. We also think we could have a better playtime by making sure we are always kind to our friends. Year 2 have also decided as a class that we are going to make sure that every one of us tries to have a piece of fruit for our snack time to make sure that food isn’t wasted. 🙂
Merik – ‘In my personal life, I’m going to start looking after my Nan more such as doing jobs like sorting out the garden’
Jai – ‘At home, I fight with my sisters so I’m going to make sure I don’t pick any fights or retaliate’
Aman – ‘ At home I’m going to do more chores because I don’t think it’s fair that it should be my Mum and Dad all the time’
Luke – ‘I am going to treat my dog better because I don’t pay as much attention to him as I can’
Amelia – ‘I could be tidier at home so that my Mum doesn’t have to do as much’
As a class we have agreed that we could do more to make each others lives better such as be kind and encouraging.
