Megan- ‘I am thankful for people who love me over Christmas’
Aman ‘ We celebrate the special news that Jesus was born over Christmas’
We are all looking forward to the break over Christmas!
In Year 5, we are looking forward to seeing family and sharing and giving gifts to our families. We really enjoy waking up early to see what presents we have received and we must remember to say thank you for our presents and food.
We also have lots of decisions to make at Christmas time. For example, where we will be spending Christmas day, our Christmas present lists, and whether we will have a real or pretend Christmas tree!
We spoke about the fact that we celebrate Christmas because it is the day that Jesus was born. It is a special time of the year to spend with our families and friends.
Year 2 are extremely excited for Christmas! We are all looking forward to seeing our family and for Santa to come and visit us. Some of us will be spending Christmas Day at home, and some of us will be visiting family. The most important thing is that we are all grateful for the gifts we receive and that we all remember to say thank you!
In Foundation we are busy rehearsing our Nativity play, and we are feeling excited (and a little nervous!) about our performances next week. We are counting down the days to Christmas using our class advent calendar and getting more excited by the day! We are also really busy making some ‘top secret’ items to take home at the end of term and we think our parents and carers are going to love them!
In year 4 we are all excited for Christmas! We have already discussed what Advent calendars we all have and looking forward to our next chocolate will be. We have also been handing out our Christmas cards to the class.
Year 3 are looking forward to Christmas. In school we complete a Christmas activity every day. We have been rehearsing for our Carol Concert. Our parents will be very proud of us when they see us perform!
Year 1 have been thinking this week about Advent and have found out all about ‘the coming’ and the advent wreath and candles. We were lucky enough to visit St James’s church too and were able to see a play about ‘the First Christmas’. We had to imagine what it would have been like for Mary and Joseph over 2000 years ago! We are all excited about Christmas and know it is a busy time for our families preparing for the special day.
I am really exited about Christmas because I get to spend time with my family and I get presents.
I would like to get:
iPad
Phone
Twister
Boots
Watch
We need to say thanks to are family that get us the things we want. On Christmas day we celebrate the birth of baby Jesus. I would expect to get the things that I want but if I don’t get the things I want I won’t mind.I would need to decide witch on off my cousins to play with.
