  1. Year 5 says:

Year 5 worked out what each of the pictures stand for in the jar and we thought of some others too. For example, don’t walk home alone at night, be careful of stranger danger and be careful near open water. We also spoke about esafety, where we spoke about how it is important not to give out your personal details online.

  2. Year 1 says:

Year 1 enjoyed looking in the jar and talking about the things we need to do to keep us safe. We talked about finding somewhere safe to cross the road, wearing a seat belt in the car, wearing a helmet when we ride our bikes, following rules to prevent accidents from happening, staying safe and holding onto our Mum or Dad’s hand when we are out and about. Year 1 had lots of their own ideas too. One important thing they talked about was wearing fluorescent clothing so they could be seen easily especially on the dark nights of Winter!

  3. Year 6 says:

In year 6 we have come up with a number of ways we can be safe with our finances. These are:
    -Don’t share your banks details
-Don’t throw personal information into your bin, always shred it in case someone goes through your bin
-Don’t carry lots of money around with you, don’t show everyone how much you have by waving it around
-Be careful if you are withdrawing money so that people don’t memorise your pin number
-Don’t ask to borrow money that you know you won’t pay back
-Don’t lend people money that you don’t know.

  4. Year 2 says:

Year 2 have looked in the jar and have been thinking about how we can stay safe. We make sure that we stay safe everyday by wearing a seatbelt in the car and wearing our helmets on our bikes. We stay safe in the classroom by not running around or being too noisy. We think that it is important to stop look and listen when crossing the road!

  5. David year 4 says:

I think it is very important to keep safe
    and watch the cars.

  6. Year 3 says:

Year 3 had ‘Cycle Fun’ this week which they thoroughly enjoyed. They found out about the’M’ check which was all about the different ways you could check your bike is safe to use:
    – check your brakes work
-check your tyres are not flat
    – always mount from the left side
    – check your seat and handle bars are secure
What else should you check on your bike?
