In year 6 we believe anything is possible if you work hard enough and dream big enough. We think that even if the Velveteen Rabbit didn’t come to life, in our imaginations we made him come to life. We talked about our favourite stories, some of them include ‘Wonder’ ‘Heroes of Olympus’ ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ ‘Spongebob’ ‘Transatlantic Tunnel Hurrah.’ Mrs Arnold’s favourite book is ‘My Naughty Little Sister.’ We love recalling our favourite books.

We have been talking about our favourite books in year 4, these include Horrid Henry, Tom Gates books and Roald Dahl. We believe that books are important and can help improve our imagination which then in turn helps with our writing!

F2 really loved the story of the velveteen rabbit too! In Foundation we read lots of stories and enjoy a really wide range of books. One of our favourite authors is Julia Donaldson because her books are so funny and they rhyme. Foundation 2 children are working really hard in phonics and at home to learn to read, so that they can read books by themselves when they get bigger. Foundation 1 are enjoying playing all the listening games to get them ready for learning the sounds that the letters make later on in the year.

One of my favourite books is The Tiger Who Came To Tea because the tiger doesn’t act like a normal tiger. I wish that I could meet him but I hope that he doesn’t drink all of the water & eat all of the food in our house. I would go to the shops and buy some tiger food but if he doesn’t like that I will buy him something else. 🙂
