  1. Year 1 says:

Year 1 remembered Martin Luther King’s speech and his dream came true. Year 1 would like everyone to be friends and live together happily.

  2. Year 5 says:

In Year 5, we spoke about our own dreams for mankind. Some ideas we had were; for there to be no wars, for all children to be safe from harm, to treat people the way you would like to be treated, for there to be no homeless people by giving money to those who need it, no bullying between individuals or groups of people and to stop slavery around the world.

  3. Year 3 says:

Year 3 know that Martin’s dream was for black and white people to be treated equally. His dream was important because he wanted the world to be a better place.

We think his dream did come true because now black and white people are treated equally. However, we think that there are still some people who generally do not treat others as well as they could.

Our dream is for everone to treat one another as they wish to be treated.

  4. Mrs Turner says:

Foundation listened carefully in the assembly and decided that they liked the dream Martin had. We are all friends in Foundation!

  5. Lily - mae adams 4E says:

I think it is important that we all get along and co -operate with each other so we can all be good
    friends and get along.

  6. Year 4 says:

Year 4 now know Martin Luther King was a very clever man who brought black and white people together, If it wasn’t for Martin Luther King Barrack Obama may have never been president!

  7. Year 6 says:

In year 6 we discussed how important Martin Luther’s dream of equality was and the fact that it is still very true today. We remembered when we learnt about Martin Luther King in year 4 and acted out Rosa Parks on the bus when she fought for equality too.
We understand how important having dreams are. We think creating a better future for the next generation is really important and we hope we can help towards that as we grow up.

  8. Year 2 says:

Marin’s dream was for everyone to be treated the same, no matter what you look like. We think that this was so important because it means we can all get along and be friends. We hope that mankind carry on treating eachother fairly and equally.

  9. Lotte says:

This assembly made an enormous impression on Lotte, so foundation did listen well! She retold the story to us. She didn’t understand why black children couldn’t hold hands with white children. She thinks everyone should just hold hands with everyone.
