Rosa visited an estate agents shop on Sunday. We talked about how the shop puts pictures in the window to show which houses they are selling.
Rosa has made her own Estate Agents detail sheet for our house and will bring it into school tomorrow. I hope Rosa doesn’t sell our house to her friends!!!!
We went to an Estate Agents on Bank Holiday Monday. Unfortunately the first one we visited was closed and had shutters so we couldn’t see the pictures in the window…. On our second try we looked at all the pictures and talked about all the different types of homes for sale. We also talked about what kind of house we live in now and the flat we used to live in.
We have looked on the internet at some houses for sale. Mummy showed me a house in Cheswick Green, it looked like our house but did not have our things in it! Then we looked at a house that was a bit further away and had 9 bedrooms, a pond and a swimming pool. We thought we could have a great game of hide and seek there!
George had a look on the websites to see about houses that were for sale in Cheswick green, he found a big house which has three bedrooms and a lovely big garden. George looked at a house in another area that was the same size but not as much money. George then found a very big house with a lake and a lot of bedrooms and even a cinema room where George could watch Spiderman. George asked if we could buy that house, but I had to tell him that we would need to have a lot of jobs, and buy lots of lottery tickets to be able to live somewhere like that!
Ted spent this weekend moving house with his Dad. This gave him a good opportunity to look at buying, selling and renting houses. The first task was to visit the estate agents to deal with the rental contracts and payments. Ted took the opportunity to talk to the estate agents and have a look around, he was also given some documents about property sales and a list of properties that were currently being marketed. Ted discussed property sales and rental with his dad and also the relevance of ‘baking bread’ and other such activities. He also discussed other sales activities that use similar tactics, such as supermarkets.
The next moving task was to assess the new property and review the inventory that we were given. Ted worked through the inventory with his nana and made a list of any problems. Ted then decided on which room would be his new bedroom and began to measure up for the furniture. Next came the dismantling and of the furniture in Ted’s old room. Ted worked with his Granddad on this. They loaded and transported the furniture themselves, then reassembled and positioned it in the new house. A hardworking weekend.

Excellent work Darcy! Which do you prefer to live in Darcy, a flat or a house?

Well done George, this sounds like the same house that Khai found too. I will have to have a look myself, it sounds so lovely!
