Year One learnt all about water and how much water we have used so far today. We learnt that it is important to save water and not to waste it. We have been asked to tick some of the boxes on a postcard and we have to draw a picture and promise to save water in our homes. We remembered that 97% of water is in the sea that we can’t use, 2% is frozen solid in the North Pole and Antarctic which leaves only 1% that we can drink from rivers and streams. We decided that it was very important to save water in school too.
Thank you Year 1.
This is really interesting I did not know that so much of the water is sea. 97% is a very high amount. There is not a lot of water left for us to use.
I have learnt that i shouldn’t use too much bath
water because i use to much so i wont use
to much next time and try not to stay longer
in the shower because that is wasting
water too.
The assembly was cool.I’ve lernt a lot about water and how people try really hard to keep the water cleen and make sure poeple have enough water to live on.
Yesterdays assembly was about saving water. I learnt 97% of the world is sea water and 2% of is frozen and 1% is fresh water that we all have to share with plants , animals and humans all over the world. You can have baths but try not to fill them up to the top and fill the ketle half way up.
There is not a lot of water left for us to use because people are leaving the taps running while brushing their teeth and using to much water when having a bath.

70% of the worlds surface is water, that is why we call it the blue planet. The world has always had the same amount of water, so we are drinking the same water as dinosaurs drank!
On Monday, I learnt lots about water. I learnt that 97% of water is salt water, 2% is frozen water and 1% is the water that we drink.
Here are some tips about saving water:
Keep the tap off when brushing your teeth.
Take a five minute shower instead of a long, nice bath
Thank you
On Monday, I learned you can save water in many ways like have a 5
minite shower instead of having a full bath. 97% of the water
in the world is salt water, 2% of the water is frozen stiff in the north
pole and 1% is clean water that we use now.
Some ways to save water:
turn the tap off while brushing your teeth
Just you’s a bucket of water insead of a hose.
The assembly was about saving water.
There are lots of ways you can save water around the house:
1. Turn the tap off when you brush your teeth.
2. Have a four minute shower instead of a bath.
3. Always put the plug in the sink when you wash your hands.
4. Only turn the tap on a small amount.
5. Wash your car with a bucket and sponge and not a hosepipe.
Severn Trent do two jobs. The good job is giving us clean water. The bad job is cleaning the dirty water.
97% of water in the world is salty and we can not drink it.
2% of the water is frozen in the north and south pole.

I learned
that 97% of water is salt water
and 2% of water is frozen in the south
and north pole. Finally I learned that we
can only drink 1% of the earth’s water
1% of the earths water is drinkable.
2% of the earths water is frozen(ice).
97% of the earths water is salt water if we drink salt water it will damage our kidneys.
it’s a shame that we are wasting so much water in our daily life and a tiny bit of our world is clean water so we need to nucher it because we have got so little of it sooo! that what i think of it tintin out!
97% of the world’s water is salt. We can’t drink salt water.
