This weekend Zachary has baked a madeira cake and we talked about the ingredients we used: egg; flour; sugar; oil; water. We baked the cake for pudding for Nanny, Grandad, Unlce Jon, Aunty Ale and Daddy, it was delicious.
We have been talking about the letter ‘p’ and Zachary thought of the following things beginning with that letter: Poppy; planet; peas; pig; pizza; pepperoni; Pete (his granddad); park; playground; poo (sorry!!!)
We also had a look at the learning page and Zachary thought it was really good and was using the mouse pad on the laptop for the first time (usually uses an iPad). He really enjoyed looking at the photos of him and his friends and talking about what he has done at school. He also enjoyed the phonics page with different games. This was the first time we have looked at this part of the website and it was really good. We did notice a couple of bad links in phonics phase 1 (the only phase we looked at) where it took us to either the BBC site or Kent council site for a couple of the games.
