In our KS2 assembly we listened to Symphony Number 5 composed by Ludwig Van Beethoven.

We discussed Beethoven and discussed what made him so remarkable:

    Some of our ideas included:

    – he made music for people to feel alive.
    – even though he was going deaf he had a growth mindset
    – he had to memorise the sounds of the instruments
    – he was resilient

We thought the music was very intense. We thought about what instruments we could hear: violins, piano, celo
