KS2 discussed and shared ideas in Wednesdays assembly.

We talked initially about if anyone ever tells us we can’t do something, we should always try our best to succeed at it.

Florence Price had this mindset when she overcame prejudice and became the first black composer to have her music performed by an orchestra.

We listened to Florence’s music being performed.

The music made Oakley in Year 5 feel relaxed. It made Rueben in Year 4 feel excited.
Orla in Year 4 heard violins playing and Poppy in Year 5 heard the drums. We could also hear trumpets, trombones and clarinets.
