– The queen has been on the throne for 70 years
– Her Dad died whilst she was on holiday
– The Jubilee is happening on the 2nd June

Would you like to be the King or Queen of England?
Initially Year 6 thought it would be fun but when we thought about it, we agreed that it would be a very difficult role.
Georgia – I don’t think I would like it because the fame would be difficult to manage
Lily – It would be very hard because you have to sit up straight all the time and lots of eyes are watching you all the time.
Ellis – I would really like to be the King because you would have all the protection needed but it may be boring sometimes.
Ada – it would be fun because you would have the palace to live in.
Which parts of the role would you like best?
– Having lots of money

-Having 2000 acres of land

Charlie – feeling protected all the time
Lily – having 2 dogs

Milly – My cousin is coming round for afternoon tea

Elsie told us that we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next week.
Mason said there have been 3 Jubilee celebrations that the Queen has celebrated.
Jake said we will celebrating with 4 special bank holiday days.
Chloe told us that the Queen was crowned for the first time when she was 25 years old.
Daniel said the Queen became Queen when her Father George Vl died.
Matilda said she would like to wear the Crown jewels if she was the Queen. Dexter said he would like to travel in the royal coach.
Year 1 are looking forward to enjoying all the special celebrations.
Minnie is having a street party and its her birthday too, so she is super excited. Chloe C is having a family barbecue. Morwenna is having a street party with her Nanny and Grandad and hopes she will be wearing a hat! Jake is going to visit his Grandad and have a celebration together with some yummy food.
