What would you say to the Hippo to keep him going?
Molly B – Don’t give up, even if you don’t get there, try your best
Finnley – Go further and get to the top
Zac – Don’t give up
Teddy – I would have said just try your best and if you don’t get there just keep going
How did the Hippo keep himself going?
Lois – He thought about the wise giraffe’s words
The song made us very happy and lots of adults and children were dancing, it was a great way to start the day! It made us happy and full of hope.
What are your hopes for the future and now?
Ellis – I want to become a professional footballer and live in a nice house
Alice – I want to pass my SATs and do well in my GCSE’s
Elijah – I would like to make a suit and also buy a range rover in the future
Ollie – I want to become a great footballer when I’m older and have a lot of fun with my friends
Georgia – I want to pass my SATs and get better at horseriding
Neil – I want to make shoes that can walk on water and I would love to explore every continent

Alice – the camel because he said there is no water here
Dylan – the sloth because he told him to stop and have a nap
Ellis – the lion because he said you won’t be able to do it

James – he said ‘I’ll go a little bit further’ and then he kept going all the way.
How would you have helped the Hopeapotamus to keep going?
Ava – I would have told him to not give up and to keep going
Riley – I would keep him company for the whole way so that he doesn’t feel lonely and get lost
Year 6 really enjoyed listening to the music. How does the music make you feel?
Bob Marley – Charlie said it makes me feel happy. Ellis said it makes me feel positive. Riley said it makes me feel motivated because he says everything it going to be alright. Elijah – it makes me feel like I’m back in Jamaica because of the type of song.

The children told me he tried to do each step and then kept telling himself to do a little bit more everytime he was successful.
