    We considered how we were unique –

    Lois – I am taller than some people
    Keira – I have unique hair
    Charlie R – Tennis
    Jenny – My dinosaur knowledge

    We considered what we would do if we met someone new who was different to us:

    Teddy – Smile
    Jackson – Be kind and nice to others
    Grace – Share things
    Zac – Show respect
    Molly G – Wave
    Molly B – Say ‘hi’
    Imogen – Make them feel welcome

    What makes our friends special?

    We decided that the following things made our fiends special:

    Sharing, kind, helpful, respectful, supportive

    Riley said he met a new friend at the Wacky Warehouse.
    Lexi made a new friend at the Cricket Club.
    Neil makes new friends when he visits new countries on holiday.
    Lily made a new friend on holiday in a play area.

    Alice is unique because she has hazel coloured eyes.
    James is a really good dancer.
    Georgia is 45 minutes younger than her twin sister.
    Ellis has ginger coloured hair and is the only child in year 6 with this hair colour.

    If we meet someone new:
    Ava would smile.
    Archie would say hello and ask them their name.
    Hannah would say ‘hi’.
    Keeyen would ask them about where they live.
    Connor would try and make friends by inviting them to play.

    Year 1 enjoyed the ‘Creature in the Cave’
    When have you made new friends?
    -On the bus coming to school (Na’Taiyah)
    -On holiday (Daniel)
    -At my football training on Saturday (Reggie)
    -At my dancing class (Maddie)
    -At my Tennis club (Minnie)
    -At my Saturday Dance class (Elsie)

    We are all unique.
    I have different coloured hair (Orla)
    I have different coloured eyes (Jack)
    I have different coloured skin (Dexter)
    I like different things to my friends (Kyton)
    I have a different family (Reggie)
    I wear different clothes (Rosie)
    I wear glasses (Brooke)
    I am taller than my friend (Jake)

    If I met someone new. I would:
    -smile (Jack)
    -play with them (Annabelle)
    -look after them (Matilda)
    -be friendly (Amelia)

    Year 1 loved listening to the Toy Story Music and we talked alot about special friendships.

    We enjoyed the story in Year 4, especially the twist in the tale. We often talk about smiling to make ourselves and others feel good so it was nice to hear this message in the story.
    When can you meet friends?
    Charlie T- at school when you first arrive
    Archie- a friend of your family
    Max- on holiday you can meet new friends

    Why are we unique?
    Zack- we have different skills
    Finley- different names
    Charlie T- different likes and dislikes
    We also talked about our own unique finger prints

    What would you do if you met a new friend?

    Ethan- smile at them
    Joe- make them feel welcome
    Charlie R- play with them
