    Year 6:
What was really different about Bob’s life to your life?
Ava – in my life all my family and friends are different but in Bob’s life all of his friends were the same but his Mum and teacher were different.

Could a life like Bob’s be possible?
Georgia – not really because everyone is different in life. I am a twin but we are still different.

Would you like a life like Bob’s? Why?
Elijah – there wouldn’t be any world wars because everyone had the same opinions
Riley – it would be fun to agree with your friends all the time to avoid argument
Milly – Yes and No because I would want us all to look different but if I got 1 on a test and the person next to me got 10 I would be disappointed, but if we all got the same then it would be easier to manage.
Ellis – Yes and No because I wouldn’t want to be all the same and yes because everyone would be happy and there would be no problems because we would all get on.

How are we all different to each other?
Alice – different hair colour and eye colour
Isla – different personalities and appearance
Eva – different hobbies and noses
Ada – different likes and dislikes
    Keeyen – different abilities
Archie – different friends and families
Ellis – different heights and weights
Ava – some people wear glasses

How can we be different in school? Can you think of at least six things?
    Teachers are different in school,
    different test results,
    different favourite subjects,
different pencil cases and school supplies

‘NONE OF US IS AS GOOD AS ALL OF US TOGETHER’

What do you think this means? Do you think it is true?
Zack – everyone is good at different things so when people work together they are a good team. This is because we all have different strengths.

Muhammad Ali’s poem is very short. Zeb said that it is really simple but it is effective. It isn’t what someone would expect.
Alice – it is quite confusing I think.

  2. Year 1 says:

Year 1 didn’t think that a life like Bob’s was possible. They said that it would be boring as we are all different. They gave me lots of ideas about how they were different including eye colour, hair colour, hair style, size, weight, birthdays, likes and dislikes, skin colour, talents and dreams.

In school Morwenna said that we are different because some of us are better at things than others. Morwenna said she was good at numbers and reading. Thomas said some of us are good at sports and others aren’t very interested. We all wear the same uniform but there are differences in style and size. Rosie said different teachers are good at different things. Orla said we are all on different reading books. Dorothy said we all have different talents.

We were interested in the statement ‘Together we can achieve good things’. We know that we are strong together when we work together as a team as we all have different strengths.

  3. foundation says:

Foundation 2 discussed what makes us the same and what makes us different. Ted was able to understand the word ‘Unique’ and used it in a sentence to describe himself.

Kyzon: I am good at maths and I like burgers.
Holly: I am good at being a friend.
Elissa: I help other children do their writing as I am good at it.

  4. HWil says:

I am home schooling because i am self isolating. I didn’t see the assembly but I understand that everyone is different. Bob is a robot and and I am a human being. I know that all human beings are different. We have different skin colours, we have different weights, different heights, different shoe sizes and we have different fingerprints.

We all like different things. I like football and cricket. My mum likes shopping and gin.

People are different but we all need to be treated the same, with respect and fairness.

  6. Year 5 says:

Year 5 thought that Bobs life would be very boring and we are pleased that we are all different as this is what makes each of us unique. We discussed there may be some positives as maybe there would be less arguments but we are still glad we are all different.

A life like Bobs wouldn’t be possible as it would be so boring!

Flossie said that in Bob’s life, everybody was the same, which is different to her life.
Imogen said that a life’s like Bob’s wouldn’t be possible because we are all different.

Indiana – Our hair is different

Hair, eyes, facial hair, gender, ears, clothes. We all have different personalities

None of us are as good as us all together means that as a class or group, we are the best we can be. We agree with this.

We like Muhammad Ali’s poem and we thought that it meant that he was excited to be himself.
