    Alice – when Jesus is born
    Riley – when the angel brought them good news

    Who is your favourite character in the story?
    James – Mary because she had baby Jesus and he is very important

    Why is this such a special story?
    James – because it was the birth of baby Jesus and lots of wise men and people came over to see him

    What are you looking forward to most this Christmas?
    Archie – spending Christmas at my new house
    Lexi – opening presents of Christmas Day
    Isla – food!
    Alice – putting the christmass tree up
    Riley – opening presents
    Dylan – giving gifts
    Milly – making gingerbread houses and decorating the christmas tree

    Year 1 loved listening to the Christmas story. Our favourite parts are:
    -The angels coming (Elsie)
    -The Kings bringing gifts (Arthur)
    -The Kings travelling on their camels (Jake)
    -The innkeeper who was kind to Mary and Joseph (Morwenna)
    -Baby Jesus being born (Kyton)
    -All of it (Annabelle)
    Our favourite characters are:
    -The Kings (Jack and Dexter)
    -Baby Jesus (Alex and Zachary)
    -Mary (Maddie and Chloe)
    -The Shepherds (Reggie)
    The Angels (Elsie)
    Thomas said this is a special story as Jesus is the son of God and it is Jesus’s birthday. He said we celebrate his birth every year at Christmas.
    Things we are looking forward to are:
    Everything (Minnie, Brooke, Amelia)
    All the fun (Charlie)
    Santa coming (Reggie)
    The yummy food (Amelia)
    Year 1 would like to wish everyone at Cheswick Green a very Happy Christmas!

    We loved listening to the Nativity story in year 3. We talked about our favourite part of the story. Pippa and Maya love the part when the inn keeper lets Mary and Joseph stay in the stable with the cows and donkeys!
    Our favourite characters are Jesus and Mary.
    We discussed why this is such a special story, Dylan said it is special because Jesus was a good person who helped the world and it is the story of his birth.
    We love Christmas in year 3! We talked about what we are looking forward to most:
    Sebby said he is looking forward to spending time with his family and having presents.Dylan and Eleonora are looking forward to giving and receiving presents.

    My favourite part is
    -when Jesus is born.
    -the shepherds find Jesus.
    -when Angel Gabriel visits Mary.

    It is a special story because Jesus was special person and this story was about his birth.

    We are looking forward to
    – family time
    – Christmas dinner
    – singing
    – jigsaws
    – playing games
    – relaxing
    – crackers

    We discussed this story and recognised the importance of it for Christians around the world. We understand that it is a time of great joy and celebration for Christians.

    What are we looking forward to?
    Phoebe- presents
    Matilda- seeing family
    Dakota- Christmas dinner
    Ethan- chocolate, especially for breakfast!
    Finley- spending time with family

    The children enjoyed reading the story of the nativity in class. We also talked about the Nativity play we had done.

    Emily: I liked the happy ending to the story

    Conor: I gave frankincense to baby Jesus

    Darcie: I liked my angel costume

    We talked about some of the fun things we did to prepare for Christmas. The children have helped to decorate their Christmas trees, put up lights, have written cards, and opened Advent calendars. Holly told us how an Advent Calendar works – that you open a new window on the calendar each day.
