Why do teams need to collaborate?
Hannah – to create something better than you could achieve by working alone
Georgia – if you didn’t work together, you won’t be a successful team and may not achieve your goals
Ellis – We can’t do everything by ourselves, so we need other people to help

Lily – listening to others ideas
Neil – being resilient
Keeyen – helping each other out
Year 1 enjoyed learning about how the geese work together in a team and said it was very interesting. Morwenna told us that teamwork is everyone helping each other. Kyton remembered that when we work together it makes us all stronger. Dorothy said that if we help each other we can be successful. Elsie said that it is important to work hard and show respect.
We think these things make a good team: helping each other (Reggie), good listening (Alex), persevering (Elsie), encouraging each other (Dexter), doing our best (Rosie) and showing respect (Maddie).
Year 1 belong to these teams.
Rosie and Esme do Karate. Orla belongs to an Irish Dancing team. Reggie, Dexter, Kyton, Charlie, Daniel and Jack belong to a football team. Dorothy and Annabelle belong to a dancing team. Rosie, Dorothy and Orla belong to Rainbows.
Teams need to collaborate so they can support each other and help each other to succeed.
We talked about the fact that good team leaders need to listen, help others, follow rules, answer questions, support each other and take turns.
We enjoyed looking at the photos on the blog and talking about how they showed good team work.
