Year 5:
Things that we think are bright and beautiful:
Flowers, a waterfall, the strawberries and potatoes in our allotment, trees, a rainbow, a sunset, the ocean, a snowday, happy dogs, animals, the sky and the Hawaiian ocean.
Our class verse:
Each little chick that hatches
Each little seed that is sown
He made their fluffy feathers
He made each plant that has grown
What do we need to do to make sure it stays that way?
– get rid of as much pollution as possible
– stop building houses in green areas
– if a bin is already full, take your rubbish home
– don’t litter
– try to recycle as much as possible
– grow your own food
Year 3 made a long list of things that they thought are bright and beautiful…
Alex- my family
Edward- a rainbow
Finley- the park
Noor-Ul- the garden
Georgia- butterflies
Madison- a sunset
Joe- the sea at night
Poppy-Mai- flowers and bees
Max- a waterfall
Ben B- ourselves
Layla-Rose- mountains

How can we look after the planet?
Reuben- walk more and use the car less
Joe- be kinder to animals, don’t hunt them
Libby- stop cutting down trees
Matthew- recycle more
Elliot- don’t buy palm oil products
Poppy-Mai- take our litter home
We thought about a verse too…
He made beautiful waterfalls,
he made the water flow.
He made a world of wonder,
He made the sunshine glow.
Year 1 loved the assembly this morning and talking about all the things they think are beautiful. Aryan told us that purple tulips are beautiful. Lukas said the warm sunshine is beautiful. Charlie said he likes blowing dandelion heads and he said that they are beautiful. Liliana said that horses are beautiful. Jenny said spiders are beautiful creatures.
Molly B said that we should all produce less waste and appreciate the beauty of the world we live in. Jenny said that we must look after all the animals and creatures. Molly G said we must look after our world and people must stop throwing litter to save our planet. Flossie said we need to stop throwing litter in the ocean.
Our class verse to add is:
Every little creature has a heart,
Every animal is truly beautiful.
Every litter picker does good
Lets all make good choices.
Year 1 liked listening to the hymn and looking at the pictures.
The things in our World you think are bright and beautiful is a rainbow, parrots and hummingbird, sunflowers, our world,
the ocean, trees, grass and sunsets.
What do we need to do to make sure it stays that way?
– Eleonora said by not dropping liter
– Hollie said by loving and caring for it
– Holly K said by doing climate change
– Sebby said by not eating kit kats (not eating palm oil)
– Jay said having ‘meat free Mondays’
– Dylan said that we should walk more and stop using the cars so much
Our class verse:
Each mile you walk to school
Will make you very cool
Will lower the pollution
What a great solution!
A rainbow
The sky
The sun
A flower
Grass
Trees
The ocean
Coral reefs
The forest
Wild plants
Our class verse:
Each time the sun shines brightly,
Each time we all give a smile,
Each time I walk through the forest,
Makes everyday worthwhile
Year 6 think that we should all recycle and not pollute the world to help keep these things bright and beautiful.
We need to start keeping the oceans clean.
Respect nature and stop over fishing.
Plant more trees to help the environment and stop excessive deforestation.
Walk more often and use the car less.
Help save endangered species.
Use more renewable energy sources.
Year 4 had a lovely discussion about all of the things in the world that we think are bright and beautiful. We came up with some ideas including rainbows, stars, the sunset and mountains.
We talked about how we can look after our beautiful world by putting our litter in bins rather than dropping it on the ground. We can also save water by not leaving the tap on when we are brushing our teeth or perhaps have a shower instead of a bath.
Foundation 2 enjoyed listening to “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and shared their thoughts about bright and beautiful things around us.
Kyton: A rainbow.
Rosie: My family.
Alex: The sea. I like different sea creatures.
Esme: My family and friends.
Oliver: My family.
Mason: I think the sun is bright and flowers are beautiful.
Reggie: The sun and the sky is beautiful.
Isabel: My pet guinea pigs, Kiki and MewMew and beautiful.
Elsie: Everything is beautiful!
We talked about how we can look after our world and treat it with respect, such as recycling, putting litter in the bin and turning off lights and electrical items when they are not in use.
