I made a bird feeder just before the Easter holidays along with my brother. To make our bird feeders we used an empty milk bottle, bird seed, electrical tape, coloured lolly sticks and a piece of string to hang it from.
Firstly, we cut out rectangular holes for the bird to climb through to allow them to get the bird seed. Next, we pierced the bottle either side to allow us to push through the lolly sticks that we had taped together. We used a total of 3 lolly sticks to provide a platform for the birds to stand on.
Then, we poured bird seed into the bottom of the milk bottle. Afterwards, we attached a piece of string around the lid to hang the bird feeder up and finally, we hung them up.
Wow Archie! I am so pleased to hear that you and your brother made one already. The platform for the birds sounds a great addition to your feeder. Have you seen any birds use it yet? Well done 🙂

Miss Miah
Yes, I saw one just before Easter in my bird feeder.
Your bird feeder sounds great Archie! I have a couple in my garden and we’ve had so many more birds recently!
Keep up the good work!
Mrs Ellis 🙂
