I think that North America is like our country in the Christmas time but other country’s are not like our Christmas in Norway they put there shoes infront of the chimney and Santa would put sweets and treats but they haft to polish there shoes. In England we celebrate it differently.
Year 3 enjoyed learning about how Christmas is celebrated in other parts of the world. They told me all about Sweden, Brazil and Canada! They even learnt that Santa is sometimes called St Nicolas is some countries. We are all looking forward to Christmas in Year 3 with our own English and family traditions.
Pippa told us that trees and lights are popular decorations all over the world at Christmas time.
Gwen told us that in France the children put their clean shoes by the fireplace on Christmas Eve for father Christmas to fill with sweets.
