Some of our ideas are for helping in and out of school are:
I’m going to help my Nan because she has stitches in her tummy. (Riley)
I’m also going to help my Nan because she has had a hip operation. (Lily)
To keep our pencil pot and table tidy. (Zeb)
To help my family put our Christmas decorations up. (Archie)
To help my friends when they hurt themselves and stop annoying my sister at home. (Ava)

To help prepare the roast dinner. To show respect for each other (James)
Year 6 discussed what ‘Advent’ meant and how we will try to assist others throughout the festive period.
Immy is going to prepare food at the soup kitchen to help others less fortunate over Christmas. We looked at how we could do little things this week in school to assist others. Here are some of our ideas:
– Be respectful to others
– Helping the teachers to jobs
– If anybody is alone, talk to them or invite them to play
– Being honest
– Lending others belongings or equipment
– Helping others in lessons
Year 1 had lots of ideas about helping others and we started by looking at the pictures on the powerpoint. Orla said the girl was helping her Nan by carrying her shopping and the boy was carrying the books for his teacher.
We talked about what we could do to assist others in school.
Gwen said she was going to look after her friends if they were sad.
Chhaya said she was going to look after anyone who was hurt on the playground.
Pippa said she would help anyone if they had a problem.
Reuben remembered last week when Hollie had helped him on the playground when he couldn’t do his coat zip up.
Jay said he would share with others.
Isaac said it would be nice to help someone with their work if they were finding it hard.
Eleonora said she would help someone find their wallet if they had lost it.
Year 1 said that they would be helping their teachers in school as the next few weeks are busy ones!

-make sure evryone is happy in class and on the playground

-thinking of others
-not distracting others
-including everyone
-helping others when they need it
-only saying and doing nice things
-making others laugh
