Year 6:
Which part of the story was your favourite?
Rylee’s favourite part was when they used the golden arrow to overcome evil. Aidan’s favourite part was the battle between good and evil because the good eventually won over the evil. Kye’s favourite part was when they arrived home safely so that everyone knew they were ok.
Who was your favourite character in the story? Why do you like this character?
Kai’s favourite character was the monkey king because he gathered others monkeys to help fight against evil – this shows teamwork. Joseph likes the monkey warriors because he feels that they did more than the monkey king. Max liked Sita because when she saw the deer with the bruise she went to help it – this shows she is kind.
Charlie & Finnley particularly liked the bit when the monkey shot the monster and he died.
Flossie enjoyed the part where the monster could change into a dear and then into the beggar.
Lois enjoyed the end where the boy was at school and he could tell his friends about the story and enjoy the festival of lights.
Alot of children decided they liked the monster because of the way it looked with all the heads, arms and hands but Mellieha particularly liked the monkey because it freed the princess.
The festival sounds particularly fun. We shall be watching to see if we can see houses lit up with lights or watch the fire works.
My favourite part of the story was when Rama shot the arrow that was given to him by the Gods and killed the evil Demon.
My favourite character was Rama
Because he teams up with the Monkers to rescue Sita.
I learnt that the festival of Diwali is celebrated because of the story of Rama and Sita. my favourite part of the story was the ending because i like happy endings not sad endings.My favourite character was the monkey because I liked his role in the story and i think he was cute.
I found out that the reason why they light a candel in their window is to guide the Rama and Sita home.
My favourite part of the story was when Sita and Rama got home safe.
My favourite charecter was Sita because she was willing to help other animals and peaple.
I found out that Rama wanted to marry Sita and that the evil god wanted Sita to marry him.
My favourite part was when Rama shot the evil demon whith the magical arrow and killed him.
My favorite character was the evil god because he was ugly and unique.

We didnt have the assembly but in our class we watched the video and I learned that Sita was put into a bubble kind of thing to protect her from the bad people.My favorite part was when the monkeys and the criminals had a fight.My favorite character was the monkey or Sita,I like the monkey because they helped Rmama get Sita back and I like Sita because she was very kind when she helped them man well badie.
Evie-i learnt that evil god had 10 heads and 20 arms and he was going under cover to kidnapp sita. my favaourite part of tthe story is when rama and sita arived home. my favourite charater was the monkey was the white monkey i like the white monkey because he saved sita
I learnt that sita got taken by the evile demon and rama tried to save sita.
Mine was when rama and sita got home.

Year 2 enjoyed watching the story of Rama and Sita. We talked about how good wins over evil in the story and that Divali is a celebration of this. We all really liked the money king because he really helped to find Ravana and with the help of the monkey warriors, he defeated him. He was very wise and very brave. Year 2 enjoyed the battle with the monkey warriors.
In Year 3 this half term we learnt about Diwali in our RE lessons. We enjoyed learning about the story of Rama and Sita and how the King Hanuman saved Sita from the Monster Ravana!
We like how Hindus light little lamps to light the way to their doors and welcome people! It is also called the Festival of Light!
In our PE lessons we also learned the HOLI dance of fire to celebrate getting rid of old things ready for the new!
