  1. Year 2 says:

In year 2 we reflected on the busy year that we have had. We couldn’t believe how much we have fitted in this year!
We talked about the things that we have enjoyed doing:
Ellie – spending time with my teachers and getting better at Maths.
    Haris – doing SATS
Amelia – doing the minibeast project.
    Scarlett – doing English
A few children who went to the Life Ready Synergy event at the start of the year said that they loved doing all of the activities.
Toby and Danny said that they have loved learning more about castles and going to Kenilworth Castle.
Danny has also loved all of the opportunities to draw and colour.
Ellie loved it when the veterinary nurses came to talk to the class about their jobs and bought in their pet dog!

We also reflected on things that we have found tricky. Some children said that there are certain topics that they find difficult within subjects but we all agreed that we have all made lots of progress this year.

All of the class are really looking forward to year 3. They are particularly looking forward to going swimming and visiting Cadbury World. Mrs Mitchell asked if she could come too!!!

  2. Year 1 says:

Things we have enjoyed in year 1 are the dinosaur treasure hunt (Poppy), the safari park (Finley, Ben and Reuben), our dinosaur parent share (Dylan and Edward), Learning about fossils (Zach), the great Fire of London (libby), all the geography and learning the capital cities (Ben), all the art (Charlie T), the teddy bears picnic (Archie), the Paws, Claws and Whiskers topic (Max).
To make our school better we had these ideas – a family picnic in the Summer (Reuben), more money from the government to buy resources (Elliot), more space on the playground with astro turf so we can play football (Ellis) and our own topic to research – Volcanoes (Edward).
Year 1 went to the West Midlands Safari Park and visited St James church for the Journey to the Stable. They loved the trips!
Elsie said it was challenging starting a new school. Poppy said it was getting her spellings right. Finley said it was starting to read. Alex said it was his homework.

Finley said the Xmas party was fun. Archie said he is looking forward to sports day. Noor-Ul and Madison said the Safari park.
Things to change – Zach wants to play rugby. Ellis wants some goal posts on the playground. Charlie would like new sports equipment. Elsie wants some activities outside our classroom like a sand tray.
Lots of children are excited about Year 2 and the big playground at lunchtime. Charlie is looking forward to visiting Kenilworth Castle.
Year 1 has been hard work but fun too. We are all looking forward to being in Year 2 but will miss our teachers.
