Year 1 were not short of ideas about things they can do now that they couldn’t do as babies. Poppy said ride a bike. Reuben said that he could tie his shoelaces. Ben said he could play football. Matilda said she could draw and colour pictures. Charlie said he could dress himself. Libby said she could walk, skip and run. Sophia said she could read a book.
As year 1 grow up they said they would grow taller, get better at things and learn new skills.
Zach is looking forward to driving. Reuben wants his own pet. Finley wants to ride a motorbike. Alex wants a job. William wants an iPhone. phoebe wants to be a Mummy.

What can you do now that you could not do when you were a baby?
Walk and talk, buy things with our own money, ride a scooter or bike, watch tv and Maths. There are many other things too.
How will you continue to change as you get older?
Hairstyles may change, we will get taller and our face will change.
What are you looking forward to most as you get older?
We are looking forward to lots of things especially: learning to drive, getting a job, riding a motorcycle, doing more competitive sports and buying things from the shop.

In year 2 we had a lovely chat about all of the things that we can do now that we couldn’t do when we were younger. For example Ellie said that she never used to be able to ride her bicycle. Nathan said that he used to find partitioning difficult in maths and Riley said that he used to find fractions tricky. Lots of children had ideas of what they want to do in the future. Hattie-Bluebell would like to work with wildlife and Maisie wants to be a veterinary nurse.

When I was a baby I could’nt walk or ride my bike, when I get older I will be able to go more places by myself. My body will change and I will change as a person. When we get a dog in 1 week ui will learn how to look after a dog.
